At least we're getting Clemson VS Alabama. Every time they throw down, it's a 5 star classic. I’m tired of these teams. I don’t care how many 5 star matches they have. Clemson and Bama are the Cena/Orion of college football

Male no mistake about it, if they weren't Alabama, they'd have never got in. If this were Ole Miss, for instance, they'd have been told to piss off by the comittee. Yep, they got in because they’re Bama. Any other SEC team, with the same resume, doesn’t get in over Ohio St.

There's never going to be a perfect system. You don't want to overexpand it and allow too many teams in. 8 teams would be a good number, and make conference being conference champ a requirement. 8 of the 10 conference champs make the playoffs. Yes, 2 would be left out, but that's preferable to having the 10 conference champs and 6 at-large teams.
So for this year: Clemson-ACC, Oklahoma-Big 12, Georgia-SEC, Ohio St.-Big 10, Southern California-PAC 12, Central Florida-AAC, Toledo-MAC
The toughest choice would then be who do you take for the final spot: Florida Atlantic-CUSA, Boise St.-Mountain West, Troy-Sun Belt. I'd take Boise St. as the MWC is tougher than CUSA and they beat Troy head to head this year.

Toledo is 11-2 and still can’t get ranked.

Mark Hudspeth fired at Louisiana-Lafayette after 7 seasons. Due to 22 vacated wins because of academic fraud, he ended with a 28-38 record.

Vacated: the College/High school equivalent of being Benoited from history. I also Can't believe ESPN decided to not show who was ranked 7-25 til 2:00 PM et and not reveal the matchups for the other NY6 bowls until 3:00 PM. Reminds me of the 2016 edition of CBS NCAA tournament bracket reveal where CBS made people wait a long long long time before revealing the final region of the tournament.

They still won those games. Should teams have to schedule tougher opponents? Sure, won't argue that. But that doesn't change the fact that 2 losses is more losses than one loss. Just from simple math, there's not an argument to make. Resume doesn't matter as much if you're losing more during it. Win more games than other teams. The only way resume should be a factor is if their W-L records are the same. That's not the case here, so there's no argument to make. Ummmm....Wisconsin has 1 loss and it was their toughest game by a mile also. Let's face it, Bama got in because they are Bama. I was telling everyone that last night. If Michigan St had Bama's record/reśume, there is no way in hell they get that last spot. The SEC and Bama always get the benefit of any doubt to the committee though.

Sure, Wisconsin would deserve to get in over Alabama. I'm not arguing that either. I'm not saying Alabama deserves in over any other 1 loss or undefeated teams; but they do over a 2 loss team.

Notre Dame on New Years Day is something I'll take, but good god I'm sick of Kelly, I wanna win but at the same time I want some changes made, it's the same story with him as coach, a lot of expectations and a giant shit in crunch time.

Alabama plays by its own rules.
Don’t schedule tough, play Mercer in November, don’t beat anybody with a pulse.
What a joke.
Might as well just rename the playoff “Alabama and 3 others” unless Bama loses 2-3 times ala 2010.
Shutting out the Big Ten and Pac 12 for TWO SEC teams where only 1 deserved it?
Seriously, who cares about resumes? Just watch Bama run up the score against Vanderbilt and we’ll say LOOK AT HOW BETTER THEY ARE
They basically get so much benefit of the doubt it is insane.
Seriously, I could not care less about Bama/Clemson III, a stale and played out rematch of a boring
This BAMA is a better team is a joke. Body of work? THEY BEAT NOBODY! Of course they’ll look like the better team when they play Vanderbilt and Tennessee and Mercer.
They beat nobody better than #17. By all means, let’s just put Bama in every year because they’re Alabama!
Shame on you, committee. You sold your souls for the Bama brand. You had ONE job.
They just showed that if you’re Alabama, don’t lose 2-3 times and you’re fine. As long as they don’t do what they did in 2010, they’re basically gonna make every playoff.
I hope the OU/Georgia semifinal winner houses either of the other semifinal teams.
Clemson and Alabama need to go away.
Next year, watch Bama make the playoffs with 3 losse.
