Oh my goodness, the animation of 101 DALMATIANS II looks remarkable. I don't think I've ever seen that sketchy/dirty '60s/70s Disney animation replicated SO well. The backgrounds here are glorious!

Bah, everybody knows it's not a real 101 Dalmations property without Spot. She's the heart and soul that holds the franchise together.

Just how many failed shows reedited into films do Disney do?

Just how many failed shows reedited into films do Disney do? Interestingly, this looks to be the last cheapquel to do this. This would be just around the time Disney's television animation was out of syndication and the whole medium took a hit.

So interesting note about Milo's Return that I'm sure everybody already knows - Greg Weisman was involved with this back when it was still supposed to be a television show called "Team Atlantis". He wrote an unproduced episode that was supposed to feature an appearance by Demona from Gargoyles. It would've shown where she got the "Praying Gargoyle" statue she had in "Hunter's Moon" from.

There was also the Hercules DTV which was literally three episodes pulled from the cartoon.

It's one of their main direct to video standards. the other being "let's do the first movie again" Y'know, I never realized how many of these DTV's were failed/reedited show ideas. I just assumed these sequels were reviled for treading on "holy ground" with their sequelitis, and obvious lower animation quality...

Why is it that he has time to watch all these movies, but apparently can't do 20 seconds research on them to learn their production backgrounds.
"This looks like it's three TV episodes put together. At least, that's my best guess. Can't be bothered to confirm it."

Stitch! The Movie. This, like Return of Jafar is a pilot for the cartoon series that would actually come out, unlike the others
guess the order I had was off.

Man, he's quite bothered than the humans are more pointless in this one, so much so that he seems to overlook the fact that the aliens get a lot more material - and in the context of his own review (where he leads off with how the aliens weren't handled as well in L&S) I would've thought it'd be a more positive because this movie *did* do more with the aliens, and seemed to do it well. People give Wikipedia shit but I always wander over there when I'm watching a movie to see cast info and read up on the movie as a whole (and on usual occasion spoil the movie, especially if it's being a bit tedious). When I watched Cinderella 3 a few weeks ago I had Wikipedia up, and if I give any of these others a watch I'd do the same then too.

I'm not too surprised. I remember when he reviewed the original L&S, he said the thing he liked most about the film was the relationship between Lilo and Nani.

And that went about as well as I expected lol.
I got a soft spot for Lion King 1 1/2 just because of how much I enjoyed TLK.

I never watched Tarzan 2. This was around the time I pretty much stopped watching many Disney products as I was in High School when it released. Cool to see he's finding some that he actually legitimately likes.
