Orioles sign Alex Cobb to a 4 year deal worth nearly $60 million. Really makes no sense on the Orioles part as their team sort of seems middle of the line but don't have enough to compete with Yankees or Red Sox Oh well either way i'm sure they hope that deal turns out better than Ubaldo did

Lol it's going to be sort of sad when Bentances isn't on the team after this year but yeah people seem to be focusing on the Yankees lineup and rightfully so but that bullpen is filthy and could be the story of the year

Whatever. Dude's an absolute dumpster fire even when he's healthy. OH WAIT HE THROWS 200 INNINGS A YEAR! Who cares. It's 200 innings of crap. Holland and / or Beede probably won't be better, but they'd have to suck eggs to be worse.

In the span of 2 years, Hansel Robles went from being one of the Mets best relievers to getting demoted to aaa. Ouch. Relievers are way too unpredictable.

I've had such high hopes for a handful of Giants relievers (Osich, Strickland, Law) and only one of them has panned out, and even he's an unreliable hothead (Strickland). Osich may finally be putting it together three years after the fact though. He was lights out this spring in what would have likely been his final shot.

Outside of their starters in DeGrom and Noah, their pitching prospects have been disappointing Wheeler in fairness has to work off a lot of rust but he’s been there a long time, he was traded for Beltran Harvey has gone far backwards from his Dark Knight Status Matz is just too inconsistent when he’s really needed as their Left handed anchor Robles and Montero are in the same boat of hype, hell Montero was really highly thought of

Season's over. 4 to 6 weeks to heal To try to put a bright light on it i'd rather that happen now then later if i'm a fan of the team. He'll be coming back right around June when the weather is optimal and should be able to work himself into shape fairly quickly

Giants should have signed Lincecum.
On that note, Colon was released and so was Kazmir.
But all I've read is they're going to go Blach/Cueto/Stratton/Holland then skip the fifth starter a few times, and use in-house options Suarez and/or Beede until Samardzija gets healthy.
That's an ugly starting rotation. Cueto's right below ace level, if healthy. He's fine. I don't trust Blach, as a non-power pitcher who pitches to contact he'll get figured out before too long. Stratton has stuff, but hasn't remotely put it together until the end of last season (he's been solid this spring), Holland was godawful last year.
It's going to be rough...
