Count me in as someone who thinks that Cousins on a year to year contract works best, but the way Washington's PR team just threw him under the bus is a bit much.

ESPN making money off of OJ's parole hearing is some buzzard type shit. Feasting on the dead flesh of fame.

Surely the smart thing to do is badmouth your QB in public

So um, the Panthers just fired their GM It needed to happen. The 15-1 season was merely an anomaly to his run as GM. He mostly just cared about one part of the defense and nothing else........well, maybe wide receivers too, but that's it. We may have made the playoffs three straight years, but one of those years was because of a crappy division that allowed a 7-8-1 team to win it. Given the amount of Panthers fans and former players celebrating this move, doesn't seem like he was very well liked. Sounds like it was for the best.

The Steve Smith firing pissed so many people off, including me as he was willing to stay and not be the #1 guy. Gettleman believed Steve Smith was useless now and in Baltimore, he proved he wasn't useless and he also proved to be the team leader that Baltimore needed after the Ray Rice mess. He did the same thing with DeAngelo Williams, thinking he was done and proved to be great for the Steelers when LeVeon Bell kept failing the drug test and getting suspended 4 games. Obviously the offensive line needs help and he never cared to fix it. Just think Cam Newton, Jonathan Stewart, the many receivers, and other stuff would make up for it.....and it never did. Steve Smith should have retired a Panther and not a Raven.

What's been suggested was that Gettleman was fired in part because of his controversial release of CB Josh Norman.

I mean, if Steve Smith and Josh Norman threw shade Gettleman's way, DeAngelo Williams was outright savage about it.
Sounds like he should've gotten gone years ago, but Cam Newton having an MVP season probably saved his butt for a year.

The Super Bowl thing probably saved his ass, but the then crap season afterwards doomed him.

Everyone knows by now that years don't matter on contracts, only guaranteed money so they were trying to lowball him by a lot.

Just to rub salt in the wound, the Washington Racial Slurs' president kept calling him "Kurt Cousins."

My guess is the team doesn't want to commit long term to Kirk hence the low ball offers. Because if he's terrible they're left holding the bag. I mean you see it when teams give QBs huge money, they have to cut corners in other ways and the rest of the team stinks. Look at the Colts. His pick vs. the Giants Week 17, I'm just like....if this is what $75 mil guaranteed gets you, then pass.

In sad news, Michael Oher's career is likely over. After having missed 13 games last season due to concussion protocol, he failed a physical and was cut by the Panthers.

NFL suspended Bengals CB Adam Jones one game for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Considering what a complete ass he made of himself, I'm shocked it's only a one game suspension.

The Colts have never lost a game with Luck when the defense held the opponent under 24 points. Not even once. The defense simply has done that enough in recent years. Can't get too upset with a guy trying that hard to overcome massive incompetence from others.
