Been a while now, but in Tokyo, most people speak good English. Maybe doesn't hurt to learn the basics like I did before I went out there. Though I forget it now That's my plan too

I was so spoiled as a kid that I couldn't possibly remember. I got too many gifts.

PlayStation 2 plus SmackDown: Just Bring It and Simpsons Road Rage.
I remember thinking the graphics on JBI were the best thing I'd ever seen. Only problem was I only got one memory card and stupid SmackDown took up way too much space.
Still, best Christmas ever.

A nes, which was way over Santa's usual budget. The fact that my dad was totally addicted to super Mario was just coincidence.

Getting a Sega Megadrive and spending the entire Christmas school holidays playing Altered Beast and World Cup Italia '90.
I felt bad for my relatives who bought me games for the NES because that console got completely ignored for months after I got the Megadrive.

I have two Christmases that really stand out in my life. One year, I got the NES Deluxe Set and the other, I just asked for money so I could get a Sega CD. However, what makes them stand out beyond just the presents is they were the two years my entire family had gotten together. It just sucks that'll never happen again.

Satellite TV in 1990 (though to be fair this was really for the whole family, I just suggested it so that I could watch wrestling).
Before that, a green and white BMX in 1988.
Before that, Ultra Magnus and the Metroplex play set from Transformers in 1986.
My parents rarely let me down at Christmas, bless them, although writing this it looks like I only got decent presents on even years.

My NES back in 1990. I remember how shocked/surprised I was when I unwrapped it. I still play that same one, so it was definitely worth whatever money was paid for it.
