The RAW Bowl from January 1, 1996 got uploaded today (http://network.wwe.com/video/v1215401683) which means every single RAW episode is now available on the WWE Network.

This week's isn't. *satisfied nod*
Seriously, though, that's pretty cool.

I feel like there's gotta be something missing. The original Benoit Tribute episode was replaced with a compilation of "best matches" from that year, so there is that.

Nope, that compilation is on there. I doubt anyone is really going to go "You didn't put the Benoit tribute RAW on there, therefore it is NOT complete" given the circumstances.

Honestly the Benoit Raw not being up really only matters if you're wanting to rewatch the eulogies for him for some reason. Reasonably sure every match they aired is on the Network elsewhere anyway.

Not trying to start anything, but at least we see some genuine thoughts about a man they thought they knew... and WWE made the mistake of going with a tribute show before knowing all the facts. I'd hate to be seen as "Sick" and "Delusional" or a "Moron" because I'd rather see that since Benoit is still shown on the network (with and without disclaimer) and a disclaimer could be added here. Actually, I'd be interested in a short documentary (that WWE would never do) about the range of emotions people went through from when they heard they'd lost to Benoit to the truth coming forward....

That's actually a really great idea but I don't think the wrestling community or the WWE is non reactionary enough to put out an effort like that and have it be viewed positively.

Actually, I'd be interested in a short documentary (that WWE would never do) about the range of emotions people went through from when they heard they'd lost to Benoit to the truth coming forward.... Nope, not trying to start anything at all. The type of people I was referring to were the groups of fans at live events who start "Chris Benoit" chants for no reason other than they think they're funny. The type of people who genuinely don't understand why WWE might not want that episode on the Network. The kind of "fans" you'll find on YouTube comments. *Those* people make us look bad. Chris Benoit the performer was and still is one of my all-time favorites. And he is for many other people as well, yourself included I'm sure. But corporate sponsors aren't going to care if there's a disclaimer or not. They're not going to care about who people thought they knew. It's very black and white for them, and if that's where WWE's bread is buttered, you'd best believe they're not going to risk it. You also have to imagine even almost a decade on, they're still mortified that they unintentionally aired a tribute show to a man who just murdered his wife and son. To be honest with you, I was half-expecting them to tackle the Benoit stuff during that 50 Years of WWE documentary they released a couple years back, given that they also covered Owen's accident, and that's something they hadn't openly discussed since it happened. But I guess that's kind of apples and oranges. On a side note, I'd love to see an independent filmmaker without any sort of agenda do a documentary on the Benoit family tragedy. No "roid rage" crap, just an honest look at the man and his life and what could've led him to commit such an unforgivable act.

I wonder if they'll get to the Friday Night's Main Event episode from '97 any time soon. It's great to see them finally filling in gaps.

First, re Benoit, I'm fine with it not being up since the only exclusive stuff on the episode that I care for is Vince at the beginning and the eulogies by Edge and Regal. Regal especially since you could tell he knew before anyone in the company was ready to say anything.
But I digress. It is stunning that, save for the Friday Night RAWs, you have a 20 plus year run of a show to watch. Not complete (friggin' Rock Concerts), but still, it's astounding. And it's still going! I 'know' SmackDown will be next for completion but after that, please, for all that's holy, finish Prime Time and TNT and get started on Heat, Shotgun and Superstars. Oh and the Free For Alls.
I know, I'm demanding, but after two years, while I like the selection, the current product is so disappointing, the archive is really all I'm watching. So why not insist on wanting what I want to see?

New Year's Day 1996, filled with tons of football puns and SuperBowl references (which is probably it took so long to get legal clearance to put it up).
