For some rasin today I've been asking everyone I know what they have been doing in order to secure a spot to go somewhere. Apparently everyone is busy to not allow me to tag along but still I got a back up
Still I'm curious what us in this illustrious forum are doing for this day to kick dirt on this bizarre shitty year

I work and am on call. So after work, I'll sit around having a sober good time.
Probably be on here. I'm not a New Years guy anyway. It's for amateurs.

Tokyo. Really fascinated by how the Japanese celebrate the new year, looks very rejuvenating.

I'm an introvert allergic to parties so on New Years Eve, I have a Neopets marathon (Yes, I'm almost 30. Yea, I still enjoy virtual pet sites. don't judge me.) Then on New Years Day, I collect all of the DVDs I bought over the past year and have a movie marathon. Tokyo. Really fascinated by how the Japanese celebrate the new year, looks very rejuvenating. Jealous. Japan's definitely on my bucket list.

I'm a total loser so I will be doing what I do every night. Sitting in my room alone watching tv.

Sitting on my ass looking at this board while something (probably the Mythbusters marathon) plays on TV in the background as I stress over starting work on my parent's taxes. Then shortly after midnight I'll realize I am about to be 32 and begin wondering just what the f*** have I done with my life. Hopefully soon after the medication kicks in and I sleep until noon.
So not far off from my average Friday.

I have to close at work. So I won't be doing a f***ing fun thing all day.

I start work an hour before midnight. Working night shifts in a hotel is usually more hassle than it's worth on New Year's Eve, but the one I work at is on the outskirts of town so I tend to avoid getting stuck with the late night revellers.

Like always, nothing. I despise New Year. I'm always sad that Christmas is over and being around a lot of loud drunk people doesn't help that. I'm also weird in the sense that the one-two punch of Christmas and New Years thoroughly depresses me. I'm usually extremely bummed from December 26th - January 3rd or so. I always think, "Well, I'm getting older, life is drawing to an end, and soon my family will be gone." Plus, January-September is just a graveyard of shit months.
My friend, bless his heart, always invites me to his party each year knowing full well I'm not going to go/would be a miserable bastard if I did.

I've never been a New Year's Eve guy. I've always disliked it for whatever reason.
I'm sure one of my friends will have a house party and my girlfriend and I will feel obligated to attend.
Honestly, one of my favourite NYEs ever was a couple of years back when I had to be in the office on New Year's Day super early and I was in bed by like 9pm. It was great.

Probably nothing like most of you. If I do anything, it'll be playing Pokemon Sun.

Either going out for a meal or staying at home. I do like to see in the New Year with people, but resent having to pay to get into a pub on top of what I'd be spending on alcohol.

We're hosting a party. I will be positioned next to my drinks cabinet drinking as much of the whiskey I have asked for for Christmas as possible whilst avoiding any sort of hosting duties and getting shouted at the next morning after everyone included myself has been sick. Pretty standard New Years really, well, at least the shouting bit is.
