As shitty as it was for society it was my best year since 2012. Met some good people who stayed in my life, met Paul Reubens, got a new job and just generally the malize of my life kinda lifted.
Anyone else personally have a good year?

I feel like saying 'yes and no' to that question. I've suffered my fair share of mental problems, but at least I worked all year, and my family is relatively healthy, so there's that. Also, terrible year for music. And I love music, but as much as I love music, I hate bad music, and too often on the car ride to work, local radio refused to give me a good song to ease the fact that I had to go to work. (For the record, work is only 15 minutes away, so I can't really bother to put in a CD or MP3 player).

My 2016 was like Phil Coulson's time in Tahiti: It sucked.

Well it was better than my 2015. But otherwise it might be a year that is going to look better in hindsight depending on how some events play out for me and almost everyone I know had there worst years of there life so I feel kind of lucky.
2016 was never a slow news day this year and might be the most entertaining sports year ever.

2016 has been one of the best years of my life, actually.
It should be noted that every year is the most tragic year of somebody's life. There's nothing special about 2016 in that regard.

Happy for those of you who had good years.
I only saw it as a good year for hip-hop and Kit-Kats and wrasslin'.

It wasn't 2010 or 2015 at least.

Moved in with my girlfriend and have enjoyed pretty much all of the year. Changed jobs and I like what I do, though the hours aren't what I need.
The big negative was our dog passing away. He was such a wonderful animal and I'm glad he didn't suffer more than he had to. I have great memories of him and I'm happy he was in my life.

I feel like I finally got my confidence back in myself as a racer for the first time in 3 years after this year.
So yeah, this year was a good year for me. Operation: Attack the Tree was a resounding success in my book, and will be continued on next year.

It was one of those years where every good thing that happened seemed to be outshone by something bad.
This week for example. WWE announced an event nearby on my birthday, and then the next day, Zack Ryder injures his knee.
I'm not holding out much hope for it but I really need 2017 to be better.

Best year of my life for me, finally doing what I wanted and visited 9 countries this year. I am in Asia as I am typing this.

It's been such a shitty year in my world, but I'm happy for those of you that have had a good one.

It may actually have been my best year yet on a personal level. Finally moved out of my parents' house, found a nice place, saved up some money, I'm getting a better sense of where to take my life, I've been more productive (I've been drawing more than I have in years) and I even feel more motivated to go out and just... do stuff.

I've made note of the things that have me me happy this year before on here, but yeah, I had a decent 2016. The only downer is a friend of four years had to move away.

Had a great year personally. Went to Vegas in January, February saw me get a new job that I actually loved. Then, February 28, my boyfriend's house he shared with his grandfather burned down. I got lucky, had been staying with my parents at the time since I was borrowing their car while mine was at the mechanics. Terrible for them, but really only had a vicarious impact on me.
Fast forward to July, I requested and got transferred from sales to logistics, and holy crap, the team they ended up assembling by pure chance, was the greatest collection of human beings I'd ever met! We became fast friends, and just couldn't believe our luck that the five of us managed to come together. So, that was a win.
Went on a couple fun weekend trips, more wins.
Then suffered a great personal loss the last week of November. It was devastating at the time, but everything is at peace now.
Then, this last week, work conditions got so bad that two of those awesome coworkers, two of the nicest, sweetest people I've met, rage quit the job, and I absolutely can't blame them. Myself and the other two remaining members were extremely tempted to do the same. We all made an agreement to stay friends no matter what, so hopefully, that comes to pass.
So yeah, that's my 2016 for ya.

I've lost f***load of weight, am financially much better off, and my son thinks I am the best dad in the world despite only getting to see me once or twice per week.
My only gripe is the slow progress in getting into a career that satisfies me. Still, with the big things going so well I really can't complain about much, to be honest.
