The main question I have is... Exactly how much of Animal's time is devoted to wandering the woods with his face paint on looking to mock people stuck in cherry pickers? 8 hours, with an hour lunch (union rules).

TNA fell into the Lake of Reincarnation and re-emerged as WCW 2000.

I loved it and I'm not embarrassed to admit it. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what counts as "good crazy" in pro wrestling, as the WWE and other promotions have tried plenty of wacky crap that fell flat with me, but the Broken Matt saga is still great fun for me. And no, I don't mean that in an ironic-love, three-week-internet-fad sort of way; batshit insanity has always been part of wrestling, and when it's done well I'll always mark for it, especially when it's got weird occult/fantasy undertones. Stuff like the Great Muta being born out of alien slime and mutating into an Oni to fight a lizard dude. Or the Road Warriors beaming down from space to eat deer and drink Tabasco sauce from a trashyard. Or Kevin Sullivan going on about the Cosmic Cookie. Or hell, even some of the Dungeon of Doom's material. If by some slim chance we got the Hardys versus the Wyatts at Wrestlemania, that would be the main event of the show as far as I'm concerned.

TNA fell into the Lake of Reincarnation and re-emerged as WCW 2000. Best post of the thread. The Bravados and Ricky & Robert were the only things I truly popped for. They should had spotlighted White Mike Jordan more. Dude is so money.

I'm surprised everyone missed a smaller moment where the Bravados and Helm Dynasty were fighting and a ref had just come out of the bathroom to call the action.
Then later Helms Dynasty locked the Bravados and the ref out of the Dome of Deletion, the ref threatened to DQ them if they didn't open the door (in a no DQ match), and the door was opened.

Helms Dynasty just beating down skargard was great Yeah, three men beating up a boat is always hilarious In fact, any inanimate object getting beat up by a wrestler is hilarious (see Edge beating down the laptop)

As someone who admits isn't a fan of the show in general, that was pretty good. But that just reminds me of why I wanted it to be a bit zanier then it was. Like, imagine if there were more name tag teams in this thing and they were all brawling across the place and had their own segments. One I had in my head was, if they managed to sort out that deal with them, Young Bucks falling into the Lake of Rejuvination and coming out as Generation Me, acting no different and when someone brings that up, they say "No, we're Max and Jeremy and they're Matt and Nick. Completely different!" Again, the match needed to be bigger and crazier than the others and it felt, strangely, like they played it safe with only a few players.

Broken Matt taking a shot at HHH for burying people with the thumbs up and smile afterwards had me legit laughing out loud for a good minute or so. That needs to be a gif. I legit laughed until I cried at that part, marked out hard for the faux Three Count reunion, was shocked at the state of 'the express that rocks and rolls' and wondered how much Animal got paid for looking into the air and saying two lines! Great stuff. That being said, despite the shenanigans involved, I almost threw my remote at the screen when Spud jobbed to a one year old. WTF??! TNA should fold and the Hardys should start their own batshit crazy fed. I'd watch it!

I know some people think it's ridiculous, but I can't think of a better ending for TNA on Challenge than that, perversely it ties up most loose ends. Which of course is useless for TNA itself, as some people will think it's a nice stopping point and not seek out their app, but never mind.

That tag team match was wonderful. Rest of the show was alright. If there was one MVP, it has to be Lashley. Dude was money in this.
I hope they stay away from it for a bit after this. Build up to the next Apocalypto and make us demand it, don't just throw it out there because "Broken Universe = Money".

I watched it and i literally said: "What the f**k did I just watch?" I finally got around to watching it tonight and I said the exact same thing. In a good way. The entire thing was worth it for the HHH diss. That was amazing.
