I had a German teacher in high school who would play the Stonecutter's song on his computer in class and make a lot of Simpson jokes. He was great. The sophomores got to watch Star Wars in German and he would come up with sentences in German like "What do you want? Gold" in a spy voice. He would open the door and have us yell the German word for six, sechs, into the hallway.

It's been years since I last watched an episode of the Simpsons.
That said I certainly can't deny this show had a huge impact on me in the early years of my life.
I would watch it religiously, heck it came to the point I could once quote a whole episode.
Not so much anymore.
Whilst the show may be a shell of its former self these days, I still hold fond memories.

And a whole generation, including many of this board, got their favourite tv show of all time And after only seven peak years, we got nothing but one of the worst tv shows of all time You've obviously never watched Last Man Standing.

I'd wager to say that it's basically the most quotable TV show in history. Pretty gutsy after you lost that walking clock wager. There were a few years where me and my sister would have a competition every time an episode started to name the episode first. It usually ended after the blackboard, but if not, almost always by the couch gag. It wasn't just that the series was very watchable, it was immensely re-watchable as well.
