I remember when I first got on we used to have these threads all the time in the off topic sections and they were really popular. So I see how well they can do the second time around.

Ha, if we had something like this before, most of my threads wouldn't be a thing.
Anyway, it's crazy how fast 2016 went. It's cliched, but it really does feel like yesterday when we were ringing in 2016 and what a weird ass year it turned out to be.

I've always wanted a "Random Stuff" type thread around these parts. Of course I can't remember any of them now, but I offer come here and think "I want to share _________ but it isn't important enough for a thread."

I just finished wrapping all of my gifts. Good to know I still suck at it.

I just finished wrapping all of my gifts. Good to know I still suck at it. I do too. Last year I gave my brother 10 bucks to wrap all my gifts for me. (Except his obviously. )

Yeah, I usually use gift bags but I had so much trouble finding a couple of the gifts because they were sold out pretty much everywhere, just throwing it in a gift bag felt weird (I wanted the recipient to work for their gift, dammit, haha) so I decided everyone was going to get somewhat clumsily wrapped gifts.

Years going by fast. Still feel like it was yesterday when I was 17 I always imagined it to be a cliché that the years go quicker as you get older. Sadly, it's true. I'm 41 now, and yet I can still recall events from when I was 19 like they happened yesterday. As I type this, in seven days time it'll be Christmas Day, and yet it only seems like a month or two ago that we celebrated LAST Christmas. Time's marching on, man...and nobody's getting any younger.

I just finished wrapping all of my gifts. Good to know I still suck at it. I don't even try anymore. I bought boxes and bags from the dollar tree this year. I hid people's gifts in plain sights for a couple of years too. My mom sat on me and her dog wouldn't leave me alone, so I naped the rest of the day away.

Moving back in with my mother has been a nightmare.
I used to think I was a bad little kid, but now I realize she just likes to bitch and complain about everything.

Hello Monday, I have not missed you....
woke up this morning by maintenance, who are currently chopping up my shower over a leak from another apt.
Went to a job interview, and had to wait an extra 20 minutes because almost everyone in the office left for lunch while I was doing some of the online stuff.
Interviewer hasn't done interviews/reviews of prospects in a while, so the interview overall was short and awkward.
Come home to find out the front office doesn't have an extra key to my place so I have to be home while they're working.
grrr......

Mailed out the last of the Christmas stuff. Now, outside of writing a couple Christmas stories, I should get to just relax and wait for gift opening day to arrive. Yay.

Oh man, why didn't somebody remind me to start my Christmas shopping? I did mine yesterday in less than an hour. Granted, I've only got one person to buy for and had a vague idea what to get. You've still got a few days; good luck! Roll on Thursday, my last day at work for five days. I like my job, but like holidays more.

Oh man, why didn't somebody remind me to start my Christmas shopping? Maaaan, don't remind me. I only have to get presents for like two people and I've been lagging it. It feels like Thanksgiving just passed.

Work tonight is going to be "fun". Today was the last day to ship out for the cheapest shipping rate *and* guaranteed Christmas delivery. People that order tonight and the rest of the week will either have to settle for "possibly arriving by Christmas, but no guarantees" or upgrading their shipping. I know they'll be whining about the higher prices but seriously, what do you expect when you wait until 6 days before Christmas?

So my wife's grandmother passed away. Right before Christmas. The whole family is taking it hard, and everybody holiday plans have changed for the worse. 2016 just keeps on taking.

I'm nearing 30, but I still feel exactly the same as I have since I was 20. I feel better actually, but I imagine that's because I've lost a little bit of weight in the last couple years. I feel like I should be feeling worse or at least starting to feel old, but the only thing that makes me think about being old is my age.
