When I was making my usual breakfast this morning of 2 eggs over-easy softly fried at low heat in butter, I did about 5 double takes in a row. You see, I had 4 egg yolks staring back at me from the pan. Both of my eggs had been double yolkers.
Never had that happen before.

Ugh.
Every time I've thought "this is the worst I've ever felt in my entire life", I eventually find myself feeling lower. An incident at work yesterday affected me so hard that I found it difficult to talk or even breathe properly. Even today, it feels hard to bring myself to talk/breathe.
I'm so over it. Over the world, over life, over everything. My hope is at an all time low. I can't deal anymore. I don't want to deal anymore.

New UK Covid laws are apparently allowing three households to mix together at Christmas.
I’m disappointed as I was hoping to avoid people I don’t want to spend time with this year. Pass the ale, please.

Two of my geckos just pulled a Jurassic Park Clever Girl manoeuvre on me.
It's feeding time and these two are not friendly, but we're fine if I don't go too near them. One is obviously hungry and being quite active, the other is probably hanging out in one of it's usual spots. I keep an eye on the active one as I give them clean water, but I have to look away to grab the spray bottle to mist them. When I look back, it's gone. I move in for a closer look and, "there you are, I can see your tail! You're hiding behind that log!". You'll never outsmart me, I think, just as the other one sticks it's head out of some leaves uncomfortably close to my face and makes me jump.

Harry Potter is on after NXT... I’ve never seen it before, and for some reason I cannot look away... despite thinking it may be the stupidest thing I’ve ever watched,

So in one day I've listened ASMR videos which I actually find quite helpful after a two week visit in asylym. Don't know yet how to feel about it. Kinda do well elsewhere. LOL. In search of great Ecchis and possibly making some sort of small independent story book in future. > I love #Haganai, I'm kinda ready for a marathon viewing/reading along with the rest of Harley Quinn's episodes. Tomorrow and tomorrow after. Will try to buy and read Episode 12 somewhere this month. > Loved Supernatural's final, Mike Tyson's and Taker's retirements and ' can't wait for future what-to-follow projects like comeback of Dexter and possibly Sam being the damn Texas Ranger Walker! Never mind WrestleMania~! e: There's a slight danger I have to go in for another visit. So maybe I'll just keep posting more like I used to soon. #ASAP

Despite a little bit of doubt, decided to cook some fried chicken with sprite. Like, we use sprite here to cook mussels, and those are excellent, but I'm not sure how it'll translate to fried food.
Forgot to coat the chicken in flour, but it's pretty damn good. Actually tastes like the roast chicken I'd buy once in a while. One of these days, I'd be game to try grilling it instead.
Also, bagoong is ready. Also known as fish or shrimp paste - in this case shrimp. Basically you get the really tiny shrimp, and let them marinate in salt for a bit. Can be used as a sort of dipping sauce later, or cooked further, or you can eat it as is. I like making tamago kake gohan, raw egg on rice with soy sauce - and usually I want that rice fresh and hot. Then I add the bagoong to the mix. If feeling fancy, pour just a bit of melted butter as well. Kinda gooey, but it's great with fried food. And I tend to eat a lot with it, too, since I don't want too much mixed egg so I compensate with more rice to the mix.

January 3rd, and I’ve taken down the Christmas decorations.
Too soon, or just right?

Mannnn, this hostess on The Chase isn’t great. That’s a shame because I dig the Jeopardy trio.
Should have hired the hostess from The Chase with The Beast. She was good.

Welp, back to the unemployment line.... I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get this warehouse job that I picked up before thanksgiving. The people were really cool with me and they were patient with me going through the ropes of shipping and receiving (most of my warehouse experience is on the pick and pack side). They took me in despite two long vacations over Thanksgiving and Christmas, and were very generous with their expertise. Apparently despite technically only working there about a month and a half, I still wasn't learning fast enough for them. I continued to point out the inconsistencies of their operations, and that had to be straightened out before they could even get an experienced person up to speed unless they'd worked for the company in the past. It bothers me more that they couldn't lay me off in person - I got a phone call on a day off they gave me. I got the rest of my stuff the following day. So here I go again

I have been training at my new job as a News Director for the last few weeks trying to learn the ropes. We're going to see how I do today to see if I need more training or if I got the job down enough to let me go on my own. We have 4 directors a day and I'm pretty much the closer/weekend guy that helps out at the evening news and then I'm on my own for the late show.
There's a few things I'm a little stuck on but most of it is just practice, experience, and getting use to the system.
