And yeah, there is almost no doubt that this was another terror attack. F*** this f***ing shit: edition.cnn.com/2016/12/19/europe/berlin-christmas-market-truck/There are also 48 wounded so the death toll may still rise. A Polish person was found dead inside and while we don't know their identity or how they died, the owner of the company whose truck it was said he didn't recognize the terrorist who was arrested and it wasn't his employee and the wide of the truck's official driver hasn't heard of him since yesterday.

Well, yeah. If you plan to kill a lot of people that's terrorism. Domestic or otherwise.

Tragic..
If you plan to kill yourself either get help or go alone, don't be a coward needing to take many or few with you.

Well, yeah. If you plan to kill a lot of people that's terrorism. Domestic or otherwise. I meant that there is no chance it's an accident.

I'd expect to see a LOT of bollards being installed after the attacks in Nice, and now this.

Things like this are why I am against countries taking in refugees. I will just leave it at that.

Yeah, it's things like this that make me think that maybe certain people and their ideas have a point. Yes "not all X's are Y's," but at the same time, being over protective is a GOOD thing. And I will leave it at that before we get the big silver lock ready.

Things like this are why I am against countries taking in refugees. I will just leave it at that. I don't see how condemning hundreds of innocent people to certain death (possibly after torture) because of one asshole is any better than ploughing through a crowd with a truck because of one asshole. You're not going to alleviate racial tensions with MORE prejudice. No, it is not a good thing. It's paranoia. It's how masses willingly surrender their most basic human rights and dictatorships are put in power. I really hope for you guys' sake that if ever need someone's help, you find someone who doesn't think the way you do and slams the door on you because who knows? Maybe you're here to rape and murder their entire family.

So apparently they didn't have the right suspect after all, and the guy is still loose with a weapon

Things like this are why I am against countries taking in refugees. I will just leave it at that. The problem with such a view is that it imposes a collective punishment among innocents that is not applied when mass murder of a similar severity is committed by home grown perpetrators, such as Tim Kretschmer (killed 15, wounded 9), Walter Seifert (killed 10, wounded 22), and Robert Steinhäuser (killed 16). Look at the amount of school shootings in America carried out by a specific type of perpetrator. Yet you never hear anyone saying "as a precaution, I think we should restrict the movements of white males and perhaps place them all under surveilliance, just in case"

And I will leave it at that before we get the big silver lock ready. I don't think either of you really understand who refugees are or grasp the process by which refugees enter a country. Please, read the following: 1) Refugees are people who have lost their home and are displaced DUE to terrorism. Refugees aren't part of ISIS or any other terrorist group. Nor will they join them. These terrorist groups are WHY they've been driven from their homes and seen loved ones killed. 2) When Refugees enter a country, they go through the absolute hardest vetting process in the entire world. More than a work visa, more than standard immigration lines, they are shadowed and thoroughly inspected for upwards to two years and THEN they themselves don't get to choose what country they arrive in. Even if there were a suspected terrorist trying to hide among them (WHICH THERE ISN'T, HAS NEVER BEEN, AND WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE) there's no guarantee as to which country they'll be sent to. Someone trying to plan an attack in a major western city might wind up in Siberia. It's just not logistical. If you're that paranoid to say "can't be too safe," then just say you're against any form of immigration, or travel as a whole, because either of those are FAR easier for a terrorist to "slip through." 3) It's really heartless and thoughtless to throw around a blanket statement of "I am against countries taking in refugees." You're basically saying "I want victims of the same terrorism we're supposedly fighting to just die where they stand. I'm against them being alive despite doing nothing wrong other than living in a less-secure part of the world than me, but I do NOT want them anywhere else." You're condemning genocide.

Things like this are why I am against countries taking in refugees. I will just leave it at that. Honestly, what do you know about refugees? What has your experience with them been? What knowledge have you obtained that makes you feel a strong enough of an "I am against countries taking in refugees" stance to publicly post it?

Naturally ISIS is claiming they inspired the attack. Also there's suspicion that there's more than one suspect. As cruel as this may sound, I kinda hope that the perpetrator(s) turn out to be ant-Islamic just to give those ISIS assholes some embarrassment.

Germany has had to deal with a lot of this bullshit this year.
You had the Munich shooting back in july followed by other attacks.
Not surprisingly security was tighter than usual when I was out in Germany earlier this year.
I f***ing detest Terrorism, I wish there was a simple way to just end it for good but I know that wont happen.
Stay strong Germany, I always enjoy my visits there and this wont scare me away.

If it got windy and a power line blew over, ISIS would claim the wind was working for them.

If it got windy and a power line blew over, ISIS would claim the wind was working for them. Didn't they claim responsibility for that guy who planted bombs in NYC over the summer-only for it to turn out his motivation was charged against his family's chicken restaurant?
