Was that former WCW Champion, David Arquette in the crowd that they kept showing?
Yes it was. Striker mentioned that he was a star, but I wish he had said he was a former world champion.
For those casual viewers here's a little bit of info on all the current feuds and storylines going on right now.
I made this guide after someone previously complained some wrestlers were being lost in the shuffle to prove that pretty much the entire roster is involved in a storyline at the moment.
-Lucha Underground owner and promoter
Dario Cuerto is slowly losing control over his brother as
Matanza is gunning for
Rey Mysterio for eliminating him in Aztec Warfare. Rey is still out injured after Matanza's actions in that match too so
El Dragon Azteca Jr will bore the Monster's rage last week.
-Dragon, along with
The Black Lotus Triad (
Black Lotus,
Hitokiri,
Doku &
Yurei have just avenged their broken arms suffered at the hands of
Pentagon Dark, putting their own issues aside briefly. Pentagon will likely come back either as a humbled character no longer interested in breaking arms for a master he no longer serves, or he could go off the deep end more and return even more violent. But now that Azteca and Lotus have dealt with Pentagon we may now see them lock horns once more.
-Rey, who along with Dragon are part of the
Eagle Tribe, likely won't have enjoyed seeing Azteca going all dark, breaking Pentagon's arm as he has warned him time and time again not to seek revenge as their job is to unite the seven tribes, so he likely enjoyed even less hearing Azteca say he intends to kill Matanza and will no longer to under Rey's training. Why Azteca wants to kill Matanza and not Black Lotus herself who actually was the one who killed his mentor is unclear but maybe he doesn't know who to trust between Lotus and Dario who are both great liars. Meanwhile
Aerostar time-travelled 1000 years also with the intention of stopping the second great Aztec war before he had to come to
Drago's aid last year so maybe he should team with Rey in the future.
-Aerostar and
Fenix will have to come to their fellow trios champion Drago's aid again as
Kobra Moon,
Vibora and
Pindar are captured him, wanting Drago to fight for their
Reptile Tribe once more. Drago says he was never in their tribe but instead was a prisoner and he quit it 1000 years ago. We know that Kobra, Pindar and Vibora are not to be messed with given that Pindar supposedly "tore apart"
Daga between seasons.
Drago is currently chained up in the golden throne room and Kobra informs him that Lord Pindar is off hunting for food... which could be terrible news for any luchador.
-Fenix might have his hands full too with
Catrina if he is indeed the person that she told
Jeremiah Crane she's in love with. Her rival and Ultima Lucha Tres opponent
Ivelisse will hit the roof if and when she finds out her boyfriend is in love with Catrina. This is an explosive love square, that could actually be a love pentagon (nope not him) as the trailer for season 3 hints that Fenix has eyes for someone else altogether.
-Crane is convinced that Catrina's love is
Mill Muertes and intends to take him out the picture so he can have Catrina all to himself, but he may possibly be in for a surprise as Catrina has eyes for someone else most likely. Crane and Catrina's past relationship is unclear but it wouldn't surprise me if Crane summoned her spirit with the Ouija board he had stashed away in Dario's office, perhaps with the aid of the magic stone he wears around his neck, and then fell in love with her ghostly form. Ivelisse likely was just his way into the temple but she will not like being used as a pawn in his games and she could be more dangerous than any evil spirit that Crane is playing with.
-But Catrina had better get her mind off Crane and her unnamed love as a back from the dead and possibly darker
Prince Puma could be gunning for her and
Mill Murtes after
Vampiro brought him back. Mill ended Puma's life in Grave Consequences III in a similar way to how Catrina killed Puma's former mentor
Konan in season 1. Of course Vampiro, who was quite open about his hatred of Konan, might have other plans for Puma so we will have to wait this one out.
-Puma is a descendant of the fierce
Jaguar tribe so Catrina and Mill had better watch out.
Nightclaw who appeared at Ultima Lucha Dos is also in the same tribe but his current whereabouts remain unknown.
-Speaking of tribes it is rumoured that Catrina and Mill could be part of the enigmatic seventh Aztec tribe, perhaps one that forgoes animals altogether and is the
Death Tribe, but that is unconfirmed as of now.
-Catrina is involved in another angle with
Captain Vasquez who both share half an Aztec pendant which grants immortality. We know for sure that Catrina is hundreds of years old and isn't alive, which is something she strives for, but the past of Vasquez and indeed just who the child who was given the pendant a thousand years ago actually was.
-Vasquez has sent poor
Officer Reyes and sneaky
Officer Meehan to the temple to investigate Dario Cuerto who she believes is involved in starting upcoming war that Aerostar and Rey are trying to prevent but Meehan ratted out Reyes and now Vasquez thinks that Meehan can't be trusted so she's sending Reyes back deeper undercover under a spider-web patterned mask to find out more.
-Officer Meehan for his part really does seem like the scummiest bent copper alive, but perhaps he is a triple agent and under orders from Vasquez ratted out Castro and is playing Dario like a fiddle?
-Lastly Catrina and Mill Muertes will also likely have to deal with an angry
King Cuerno, who is potentially in the speculated
Deer Tribe, whenever he fully recovers from his injuries sustained in a death match with Mill. Cuerno is never one who takes a loss well as his reactions to being pinned by Drago and
Johnny Mundo in season 1 prove so how he will react to almost being killed at Ultima Lucha Dos?
-Speaking of Johnny Mundo he too has people gunning for him and his title belt. He may have beaten
Sexy Star once again with underhand tactics but he will now have to face her best friend
The Mack who is the new #1 contender after winning the Battle of the Bulls tournament.
-The Mack won by pinning
PJ Black last and Black's defeat could add even more tension between him and Mundo as the World Wide Underground threatens to implode. Black and
Jack Evans have been bickering since the start of the season and Evans was tricked and eliminated by Black in the Battle of the Bulls tournament, although Jack was more upset about the position of Black's balls during the pin. Mundo was already annoyed at both of them and
Taya who had all been beaten by Sexy previously but let's hope they stay together long enough for Taya's documentary of Mundo to be finished.
-Mundo also has to worry about
Angelico who's showing an angrier, tougher side to his personality that we have yet to see. Angelico has been attacked twice by Mundo and the World Wide Underground and wants revenge. Angelico entered the Battle of the Bulls tournament to try and get a shot at Mundo but he failed to win. However Angelico has said he doesn't care if he faces Mundo for the title or not so you have to think he won't let that loss stop him.
-Sexy Star may not have had her mind fully on winning the title back from Johnny as her training regime was interrupted by the reveal that someone placed a huge back spider in her locker. Sexy naturally assumed it was
Mariposa, who along with her brother
Marty Martinez kidnapped and tortured her for months between Season 1 and Season 2. Mariposa points out though that were she to be the one behind it she wouldn't use something as ugly as a spider but something beautiful like a butterfly as her and Marty are part of the ancient
Moth Tribe after all.
-Whether or not this spider has anything to do with Reyes' spider-web mask remains to be seen but knowing Reyes luck this could for him just be an unlucky coincidence.
Or perhaps Office Reyes knowing full well that Dario hates Sexy Star, having been ordered by El Jeffe previously to injure her so she wouldn't be able to wrestle in the temple again, is trying to get close to Cuerto by tormenting the former champion?
-Mariposa was recently seen locking eyes with the Monster Matanza Cuerto and in perhaps the first shred of humanity we saw in her and in the eldest Cuerto brother he seemed to have emotional feelings for her before eliminating Mariposa from Aztec Warfare with a chokeslam.
-Cage looked dominant in the Battle of the Bulls final, but a run-in from
Texano helped eliminate him. Cage is currently beating Texano 2-1 in a best of 5 series and Texano may have just signed his own death certificate by making Cage angry. Perhaps however angering the Machine is part of Texano's plan as an angry Cage is often a stupid Cage and maybe he's banking on Cage being so angry he gets himself DQ'd like he has in the past?
-The rather dubious prize for winning this series we learnt from Dario,
Councilman Delgardo and the mysterious
Lord is that the winner of the series will have their body become host to an actual God just like Dario's Father did to Matanza all those years ago. However Cage has frequently claimed that he's not a man, he's a machine, and if indeed that is true and just hyperbole then can a machine actually be turned into a God?
-
Killshot and
Dante Fox's issues continued in the Battle of the Bulls tournament where they were both on the losing end of the same semi-final fatal 4 way. Killshot was a sniper in the US military with 37 confirmed kills. He was also good at close-quaters-combat and so he was part a black-ops, off-the-record team that were captured and held prisoner for thirteen months. Killshot managed to escape, but in doing so he had to leave his fellow brothers-in-arms behind. The team according to the US officially never existed and the others were presumed dead until Killshot received a burnt letter from Dante Fox reading "You left me for dead" and the two have been battling ever since. Is Killshot the innocent hero we believe he is or is Fox the wronged man out for retribution and justice? Those questions remain to be seen.
-The
Rabbit Tribe joined the confirmed Jaguar, Moth, Reptile and Eagle tribes in the temple at last and we await to see what mischief
Paul London,
Saltador and
Mala Suerte get up to and what their "white rabbit" leader wants.
-
Son of Havok and
Mascarita Sagrada recently ended their bitter feud with lucha legend
Dr Wagner Jr, his manager
Famous B and valet
The Beautiful Brenda and Havok may have recruited Sagrada into his biker gang and hopefully a future trios team.
-Lastly
Ricky Mandell still has his creepy magical Isla de las Muñecas photos which surely can not be a good thing to be in possession of. Isla de las Muñecas or Island of the Dolls is a real life Mexican island where a child's dead body washed up on a beach. A few days later a doll, thought to be the dead girl's, washed up on the same beach. The island's caretaker Don Julian Santana Barrera hung the doll in a tree in honour of the dead child. However Barrera became haunted by the spirit of the mysterious dead child and in order to please her spirit he hanged hundreds of other dolls in trees dotted all around the island. Today there are thousands of creepy dolls, many missing eyes and limbs, hanging from trees all around the island and local legend says that the dolls are haunted and whisper to each other and lure boats to come to the island to be shipwrecked. Holding these photos can not do Ricky Mandel any long-term good one would think.
-
Vinnie Massaro meanwhile just wants to eat his pizza in the mens bathroom in peace without seeing a serpentine reptile queen and 1000 year old dragon having a nunchaku fight. Is that too match to ask?
-
Argenis is also a thing.
The tribes as of now Jaguar Tribe

-Moth Tribe -Mariposa -Marty Martinez
-Rabbit Tribe -Paul London -Saltador -Mala Suerte
-Eagle Tribe -El Dragon Azteca Jr -Rey Mysterio
