Being sincere here. As a lot of you seem to love them, I have never really seen it. They are often slow, a lot are not athletic, and few can do a decent promo.
I don't mean guys like Big Show or Kane, who have perfected their craft.
I mean the Braun's, the Corbin's, and many more from the past.
What makes you rather watch them than an AJ Styles vs Cesaro match? There are people in here who love big guys, and that is cool, I just want to wonder why?

Nothing wrong with a bit of variety. Sometimes you just feel like watching a hoss throwing people around.
Plus, in a weird way, it makes the better wrestlers stand out more. Look at how things are now, when pretty much everyone is good, but that has led to people looking for other reasons for them to stand out from the pack, mostly character-related.

I would not like to watch Corbin over a dog pooing on the street tbh. He is horrible and I do not see what anyone see's in him. Braun, well he is huge and quite the spectacle and look like he could legit kill someone with his bear hands.

The only equation I know of is:

With so many smaller "workrate" guys on the roster they stand out a bit more with their style. With how so much of the shows are 15-20 minute matches with no real storyline behind them it's fun to just watch Braun murk dudes for a few minutes.

My wife told me Monday, "I didn't really notice with that little guy around, but Cass is cute. I'd teach him some things."
FAN, what have I done wrong?

But surely given time guys like Corbin and Braun, both with less than two years on the main roster under their belt, can "perfect their craft" like Kane and Big Show?

Watching work rate guys is like watching fireworks you enjoy it for first few minutes after that you are like 'ok i get it it was cool until two minutes ago' when you have a whole roster which does suicide dive someone is going to do it better then the other and you are going go "I've seen better" me personally i think any big man needs to have a good punch for me to enjoy their matches right now corbin has one of the meanest looking punch not just in the company but in all of wrestling that guy can give chris hero a run for his money and i don't know where is this "corbin is slow" coming from the only time corbin is slow is during his matches with ziggler for what reason i don't know and strowman makes every move he does look like it hurt just by the sheer size of his but yeah big men are a spectacle when you are live i have yet to hear anyone say something bad about corbin and strowman who have watched them live they all said good things about them

I think Corbin is awesome. Great character and rapidly improving in the ring. Plus, as I've said before, these guys are my size so it's easier for me to root for them in general. I don't really relate to the small dudes or the everymen or anyone like that on any level. Hardly any in any form of media. I mean there are smaller guys I root for, like Daniel Bryan of course, but it's not my default state. I relate to a Kevin Nash way more than anyone else.

Different types of wrestlers make shows great. If I want to see an all-workrate show, I'll watch ROH. If I want to see spots and insane wrestling, I'll watch PWG. WWE is who they are because of the different people they bring to the roster. Like was said, for every great 20-minute Cesaro vs. AJ match, watching Braun murk a nobody for 30 seconds is great.

I don't think it's necessarily that some of us like the bigger wrestlers, it's that we like characters and stories that bring realism and variety. Sometimes the story is told better when there's a "prototypical" wrestler involved. The business needs the big guys, and when the big guys do their job well, we respond to it. Braun, whether you like him or not, is performing excellently in his role at the moment. He's easily the most intimidating looking guy on the roster. He looks like he can kill people at will, and there's a response to someone that has that kind of look. Corbin has only been getting better and better, and his reactions from the crowd are following suit. Corbin's stock only continues to rise. It's not like we're dealing with The Great Khali and Giant Silva here.

Honestly big guys have a hype factor about them that workratez guys have to nearly kill themselves to match in ring. This is the very thing Evil Neville cut a promo about on MNR, and he's not wrong.
Pro-wrestling is slowly getting past the shackles of "bigger=better" with the women and CWs getting more TV time, but the audiences outside of Full Sail Arena are slow to adapt.

The big guys appeal in pro wrestling is in a fight, size really does matter. Especially when you are selling the illusion of a fight, a big guy is always going to look more beleivable and realistic. Big guys look scarier. Plus, it is part of pro wrestling. Pro wrestlers are big guys, it is just part of kayfabe. In kayfabe, bigger is better. Even if the big guys aren't the best workers, in kayfabe size and strength is presented as a helpful attribute. Like being fast in track, being big has always been presented as good.

There's just too many smaller people.
Anime's rise in America is a good comparison to why people like big guys now after hosses were so hated:
Sturgeon's Law is always in play: 90% of everything is crap.
If you only get a small amount of something, though, then most of the crap will be filtered away and never even seen by people, and the stuff you do get will by and large be the best of the best. (Similar to how it was when anime rarely got sent to the US.
As it becomes popular due to being high-quality, then eventually people want to bring more of it over. As this happens, more of the incredibly good stuff that was ignored the first time gets sent over, with more quality things that's big right now...but in the process of the new stuff coming in, suddenly a small trickle of genuine crap slips through and starts to come in as well.
However, it's basically great- and that leads to it becoming huge- and then, the floodgates open. Anything of that style will get over, be big, and be released ...but because of that, it also completely destroys the spigots, and assures that even the absolute crap's going to get brought over as well. Suddenly, with all this crap coming in, the quality seems to disappear, and it goes to something else comparatively ignored.
Similar with this. Enough junior heavyweights/cruiserweights/etc. have come into the WWE now that the floodgates have opened, and as a result the comparative less amount of top big guys makes them seem better by comparison.

It is the same reason a shy guy with abs and chiseled jaw is more likely to attract women while a confident guy with a huge belly and round face has to settle for a wife.
Big guys are abnormalities. Within reason, someone can pick up wrasslin' skills, but to have the physique of behemoths such as the Great Khaki is something you can't train. (I'm aware of the auto correct typo but I kept it because I think its funny). Its also convenient for people who are watching the show from far away to be able to see the big boys.
Little guys can always compensate for their average size by doing floppy flippy moves.
