Gotta say, I prefer when random WWE questions come up in Pointless, there, it's not just the challenge of knowing it, but second guessing what other people don't. Only seen it come up once myself. Royal Rumble winners one. It has a few times, I watch tons of reruns on Challenge, not the most common category, but makes me happy lol

I'm hoping if ITV World of Sport catches on, the BBC will create their own wrestling fed.
Put it on Friday nights, after Graham Norton's show. Call it BBC Grandstand Wrestling.

Here are the questions he got if anybody wants to waste a few seconds. WWE in the 1990s 1. Which entrepreneur, commentator and sometimes wrestler ran WWE with his wife, Linda, throughout the '90s? 2. What's the name of the annual wrestling extravaganza that takes place in spring each year, and features the best of sports entertainment with added celebrity endorsements? 3. Davey Boy Smith, who was born in Lancashire wrestled under what name? 4. Who was the first man to be inducted into the WWE hall of fame after his early death in 1993? He was 7' 4" tall and known as the Eighth Wonder of the World 5. What numbers, which refer to a book in St John's Gospel, appeared on the t-shirts and other merchandise associated with Stone Cold Steve Austin? 6. Who was known as the HeartBreak Kid, and eventually as Mr Wrestlemania, because of his phenomenal career, spanning 17 Wrestlemania matches? 7. What was the name of Bret "The Hitman" Hart's submission hold that he used as a finishing move? 8. Which annual event, that takes place every January, was won by Hulk Hogan in 1991, Ric Flair in 1992, and Yokozuna in '93? 9. Which belt did Chyna win in 1999 in a match against Jeff Jarrett? She was the first woman ever to hold the title 10. What is the real name of the champion wrestler, The Rock, whose signature moves were the Rock Bottom and the People's Elbow? 11. Which seven-feet-tall wrestler, nicknamed the Big Red Monster, was supposedly the half brother of the undertaker? 12. The Tag team that consisted of Hawk and Animal, whose entrance music started with the words "what a rush" were collectively known by what name in the WWE? I don't think I even need to bother with the answers. Jesus, I've not watched wrestling since 1996 (just before the Attitude era, so the wrong time to stop, I know) but I got all of these. The Celebrity Mastermind pisses me off for three reasons: 1) The celebrities aren't exactly famous. 2) The celebrities do a walk on through the audience, which doesn't happen in the usual version. 3) The questions tend to be piss easy so that they don't look stupid compared to us normal folk. This wouldn't have happened in Magnus Magnussen's day, I can tell you that much!

Royal Rumble winners one. Pointless Celebrities had 'WWE Champions', 'Hulk Hogan films' and 'The Rock films' once. The pair of women's footballers just about to managed to spit out The Tooth Fairy and Bret Hart as answers. 50% of the answers for WWE Champions were pointless, Vince McMahon, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio and Yokozuna were the highlighted four but there were plenty of pointless answers iirc.

Yep, Del Rio was pointless for both the Royal Rumble and WWE champion questions. Sums him up really.

Am I the only one that'd be a dick on the Davey Boy Smith question? "Well, technically, he competed as Davey Boy Smith, however his well known nickname was the British Bulldog."
