I hated his first run and I pretty much hated most of his entire run but he has been killing it this year. He deserves another shot. Only problem is you know the WWE would find a way to squander it. They'll remove everything unique about his heel run and turn him into the usual watered down villain.

The SD creative team know what they're doing.

Nah, at least no time soon. Keep AJ Styles near the top the next year plus. He's going to get old eventually but the guy is insane right now, he's over and probably the best wrestler in the world. Keep that fire burning for now. The IC title scene isn't hurting the Miz

I am of two minds on this. He's one of my favorites, he has been on a roll, and he'd certainly be capable of holding the title. It'd also go well with his feud with Bryan.
On the other hand, he also doesn't need the title. His first run, while not booked the best, was still 5 months or so, with a successful title defense against Orton and one against Cena, at 'Mania, no less. His credentials are fine, I don't feel his character needs the belt to do what his job entails.

No way. The love of The Miz is something I don't understand at all. I'd rather watch a best of Buff Bagwell DVD than see The Miz.

Miz/Dean could be a fun ME feud

The guy deserves it. This is the first time, in decades, a guy loses a world title feud and then goes after the IC and it doesn't feel like a huge step down. I've always been a mark for the IC belt, Miz deserves all the credit for bringing it back to its former glory.

I just had a bunch of scary WCW 2000 flashbacks. As short as some modern WWE reigns are, that for me is still the most telling example of hot potatoing a title too much. having 14 people win it in 6 years isn't really hot potatoey... especially with how much TV the WWE have to fill. Except it's 14 people, not 14 reigns. Bear in mind how many short ones are in there for Sheamus and Reigns and Rollins.

I like Miz a lot but no. Not everyone should be world champion he's perfectly fine being the top midcard heel. This obsession with giving everyone a run with the belt is 1 of the reasons it doesn't mean anything anymore. How many other heels actually get booed. This is the biggest thing for me.

Yeah he's done the same for the IC belt as Cena and the open challenge did for the US title imo and made it look like a credible title again. Unfortunately the US belt got passed between ADR and Kalisto for a while which dragged it down and now Reigns holding it and doing absolutely jack shit with it. Hopefully when Miz eventually drops the IC belt the next champs keeps the pace.

People saying no are simply stubborn. His skills as both a talker and a wrestler have improved greatly in the last 5-6 years (he was over enough for the title in 2010/2011 but wasn't yet performing at an extremely high level), and he remains one of the most over wrestlers in the company even without especially strong booking.
Miz declaring his intentions for a sequel in 2017 to his record-setting first WWE Championship run would be great.

Miz declaring his intentions for a sequel in 2017 to his record-setting first WWE Championship run would be great. This is oddly similar for CM Punk back in 2011 that people thought he should become Jericho 2.0 of being the upper midcarder who acts as a gate keeper, who can create great undercard feuds, and who can be called upon the main event if needed. Then CM Punk was like f*** that I'm the best, I've been proven to be the best and better then other guys I deserve to be treated like a main eventer unlike someone like The Miz who is handed everything over based on potential (never agreed with it personally). But we reached full circle here yet again that The Miz is too good to be awarded a main event spot again and someone else should be in the main event to help them get over. If anyone should turn AJ Styles into a babyface for it's a matter of time, it should be The Miz. Outside of a long overdue John Cena heel turn (LOLNEVERGONNAHAPPEN) I don't anyone can create such a moment that would draw in the biggest amount of cheers and boo's from a turn.

If the current plan is AJ-Taker-Cena to pass the belt to mania I can see Miz being Cena's post WM challenger for a few PPVs, I doubt he'll win it but could trade it back and forth with Cena for a month or two, I think they'll do something like Cena/Nakamura or Cena/Corbin for the big summerslam title match. An alternative could be him getting drafted to Raw after WM and chasing Reigns or Balor for the universal title.

Actually I like what Miz has already been doing, he constantly cuts promos saying he is THE champ on SDLive, basically putting the IC title above every other title. While I disagree that its above the WWE title its certainly above the Universal CW and US straps.

I'd love him to win a MITB sequel and cash in again.
