For consideration.
Sasha has been hurt by the constant title changes and an almost burial in a forced Charlotte feud.
Enzo has been buried in a feud with Rusev where he is made to look like a fool and a douche.
Roman Reigns is no longer booed unmercifully, but he is no way over.
Rollins got a bigger face pop when he was a heel.
New Day got themselves over, but then fizzled with the titles being left on them for too long. I guess they did get over?
Cesaro and Sheamus, are they over? Was Cesaro more over last year with the Cesaro section? He's less over now, right? Sheamus is not over, even with all this rub from Cesaro.
Mick Foley was super over as a face authority figure when he started, now people just want him gone.
Sami Zayn? He was more over when he premiered and it seems like he's a mid card jobber, kind of.
Am I missing someone that Raw writing has helped since the brand split? Have they gotten any face over? Has anyone been helped by Raw writing as a face after they left NXT?

They're more focused on creating unhappiness in their audience.

Yes, by making them a heel.

Cesaro's just as over now as he was last year. And it IS noticeably helping Sheamus get reactions too.
And anyone going against Rusev right now is never going to get the sympathy whether the face is being written good or not, because he has that locked up because OMG VINCE HATES RUSEV MARRYING LANA... F***, just fire them if it's that much of a problem, don't give them belts, TV time and parts in reality shows.

One second, Enzo, Sheamus and Cesaro are all over. Whether you like their storylines is one thing, but they all get good to great reactions.

Rollins too, when he wasn't hanging about with Reigns. And Zayn whenever he actually gets a match of substance. I think we need to discuss what "over" really means, because I always get the feeling that some think that nobody is over unless they get Attitude Era Austin pops every night.

I swear that the Raw writers are to the faces of Raw as what Jeff Fisher was to the Rams offense.

And sheamus is still a heel

A few weeks ago Enzo had the entire audience saying his catchphrase without a microphone. If that isn't "over" then I don't know what to tell you.

Enzo, Cesaro, and New Day got over - but I think they all did that on their own. The writers aren't doing them any favors at all.

I mean... New Day is one of the most over acts of the last decade. To question if they are actually over is a bit dramatic.

How are the New Day one of the most over acts of the decade? What needle do they move? What money or ratings do they draw?
As far as this goes, an almost as disturbing thought is this: Not only can Raw's writers not get a face over, they really can't get heels over either. At least they don't get them over in a proper way where the audience boos these guys and wants to pay money to see them lose.

I'm not surprised nobody is being booked decently; how the hell do you even start booking one person, let alone an entire roster, when you have TV writers from comedy shows trying to book 3 hours of weekly content with no midseason breaks, finales, or lulls? At this point, it's gotta be "Okay what can we have ___ do this week to get us to next week?".

We really need to have a big boy talk about the definition of over?
New Day is not over are you serious? Even Tho I do not care for them at the moment there is no denial they are over.

If we were talking about when they debuted the gimmick last year and you could hear crickets, no, The New Day wasn't over at all.
Now, a whole different story. Are they getting stale? Probably. But in no way, shape or form I can't say that The New Day isn't over.

Faces don't get any cheers and heels don't get any heat.
Performers/characters the fans appreciate and want to see more of get cheers and get merchandise sales, those they do NOT want to see more of get booed and don't get sales.
The solution should be to eliminate alignments and listen to the audience. If they cheer an act, then that act should be featured. If he's booed, then creative should work on ways to get him cheers.
