All this proves Roode and Dillinger right that Tye IS A LOSER! LOSER! LOSER! LOSER! But seriously Dillinger's path to redemption is one of the few interesting stories going on NXT and having him prove himself to be the best by being the self proclaimed perfect 10 would have him defeating the man that mocked him for being a loser, and being the one to take down Nakamura or push him to the limit would put him over huge. It would be great to see NXT create some homegrown talent again and give them some buzz. As much as I love Roode I just feel like it's just a cheap way of creating some buzz of having Roode vs. Nakamura dream match while they promote Nakamura to the main roster and having Roode as the drawing champion. I would have it Dillinger is the champ only to lose to Roode on his first defense and work a storyline of having Dillinger chasing for the belt again but ugh.
And I say this without even liking Dillinger. But they had an interesting angle with him. Now what the hell is next for him to do? Call him up to soon by making him #10 at the Rumble?

They should've given Roode the title sooner, but nonetheless, he should put Tye over at the Wrestlemania Takeover for the title. Honestly think NXT wasted time with all of those Nakamura/Joe matches. Should've just been Roode winning the title and holding it for months until Dillinger beats him.

All I know is I will be very disappointed if Tye does not become the 10th man to win the title.

You build the redemption angle that caps off with Tye taking the title from Roode at Takeover: Orlando. Have him doubting himself, getting run down by guys like Roode and Almas and win a tourney or battle royal for the shot. Roode is cocky knowing he can beat Tye, Tye finally starts to fight back and then wins the title.

I know nothing about him except that the fun crowds have ruined any match teasing or ending in a countout since Survivor Series. He can kick rocks for that.

I don't think there is any way Nakamura gets called up that soon. He's going to have a long run as NXT champion.

I will never understand the Tye Dillinger lovefest. I honestly don't get it either since I just find the dude nothing more than a solid hand with a catchy theme song and catchphrase. But I've always been a fan of redemption angle's and there isn't a lot of strong babyfaces on NXT right now and I'm betting Nakamura will probably be called up before Mania and they seemed to have something with this angle. I think Dillinger being the one to upset Nakamura and lose to Roode and chasing the title in another road to redemption would be more interesting and do more good for Dillinger than Roode winning and Dillinger chasing Roode.

I'm surprised he hasn't been called up sooner since I heard he's making AJ Styles money and only agreed to do NXT to learn English better, assimilate into America easier, and get better adjusted to the WWE Style. Like I'm sure Vince it's getting antsy of paying him all this money not to be on the main roster and Vince seems to always push guys he's paying more immediately. See AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle (offered Lesnar's deal the year before), Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, etc all guys who made a shit more on there first Entry Level Contracts than everybody else.

I will never understand the Tye Dillinger lovefest. me too he's average in every thing the only thing that's awesome is his theme music I've said it before and I'll say it again: Tye Dillinger is a solid hand, a terrific wrestler who puts on a great match that is going to have a really well received run in the main roster's midcard before he's quietly released in 2018.

me too he's average in every thing the only thing that's awesome is his theme music You can say the exact same thing of Roode too. Disagree with that. Dude is a great heel, can cut a great heel promo, and carries himself like a star. I loved how he begged Tye Dillinger to be his tag team partner to the point he was at his knees groveling and we all bought into his hype. Then next week he turns on Tye Dillinger and does a great sincere "Well duh Tye Dillinger is a loser and tag team wrestling is for losers" promo. Like what a greasy scumbag heel he is.

Guy's dry as toast, and pretty damn dull in the ring. Take away that entrance theme and he doesn't have a whole lot left that stands out.

What I want is someone who is under 35, not an indy or international standout, or wrestled in TNA, NJPW, & ROH to be part of the title picture. I'm not a big fan of Tye but him in the title picture at least would take things back to the roots of being a place where talent develops instead of being a super indy funded with WWE money. No Way Jose for NXT champion.
