Just wondering really, we know Edward Harrison (aka Baron Beefcake, Big Brother Booty, The Booty Man, Brother Bruti, Brute Force, Brutus Beefcake, The Butcher, The Clipmaster, The Disciple, Dizzy Hogan, Ed Boulder, Eddie Hogan, The Mariner, The Man With No Name, The Zodiac, The Zodiac Man) has basically latched on to Hulk Hogan through out the years even sometimes taking his last name. But Michael "Mike" Jones (aka Curly Bill, Lucius Brown, Mike Jones, Shane, Slam Train Jones, Vincent, Virgil) has used Ted DiBiase's name all the time for attention and to attract people at autograph signings and what not through the years. So just wondering who do people think has leeched on most through out the years?

Brutus stole money from Hogan, I believe, so him.

If we're talking career wise, it's Virgil and it isn't even close.
Beefcake, while true he was associated with Hogan a lot, was still pretty goddamn over on his own.
Virgil was over for about 4 months during his initial DiBiase feud. Anything other than that he was a complete afterthought

Ed Leslie.
When Hogan went to WCW, guess who got a main event with him?
Sure, Virgil fibs about the Million Dollar Man but he's largely delusional.

Equal. Beefer knew who to hitch his wagon to and it worked for as long as it did.
Virgil, what more is there to be said.

Career-wise....Virgil hands down. He's the equivalent of the out of shape one-hit wonder from 40 years ago who still performs in front of 25-50 people, and he keeps mentioning that song to the point of annoyance and people walk out before listening to that said song.
Short-Term wise....Rey Mysterio during the Eddiesploitation Era....

Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering how people feel about Virgil. Do you feel bad for him that no one wants his autograph, or is it his own fault for continuing to show up at signings expecting otherwise?

In one way I don't feel bad towards him because of how he carries himself and (if the rumors are true) accosts people and pesters them to the point that they would avoid him at autograph signings... His reputation would carry over and less and less people would want his autograph over incidents like that....so in that aspect, I do not feel bad for him if he's brought this onto himself.

Beefcake.
Bubba the Love Sponge even moreso however. What even was he? A radio DJ? That somehow managed to get a job with TNA?! What the hell.

It's got to be Virgil.
At the very least Beefcake was a legitimate friend of Hogan for pretty much the entire time they were together and he was really over on his own. Virgil and MDM were never really buddies of any sort and after the feud between them Virgil was a jobber.

Depends on a lot of factors. Brutus benifited more from being a Leech, while Virgil tries harder at it, and is willing to sink lower.
I dunno. It seems like it's equal, except Brutus just happen to have better luck at it since he befriended Hogan.

Honestly, everyone has their group of attachers in many ways. Look at every top star, they have their cliques that follow them around. It's a good bargaining chip to promoters.
Ed Leslie did nothing different than what Arn Anderson did for most of his career.
Virgil...I don't believe that Dibiase was ever that close to him to begin with, so I'd say he is the leech. No one went to the bargaining table and said "I got Mike Jones"!!

Say what you want about Bubba The Love Sponge but he wasn't just a radio DJ he's THE radio DJ in Florida. He gets the highest ratings by far and has a huge fan base, that's why TNA brought him in plus the free publicity he gives.
As for OP's question the answer has to be Virgil. Virgil still does the carny act of saying Ted DiBiase might show up at the signings he goes to. Beefcake to my knowledge isn't doing any of that scummy stuff anymore.

I think Beefcake wins just for actually being a leech and enjoying the nepotism he got from being his buddy. Virgil is a guy who less leeched off of DiBiase and connections to get the spot he was in, and was more a guy put into the spot and who now pretends that he's connected because of that. Ed Leslie is a hanger-on who used his attachment to a celebrity to reach heights past what he probably would have on his own, while Virgil is one step above someone making shit up about how his dad gets him free backstage passes to the biggest concerts and he totally has all the big stars' numbers mixed with the person selling bootleg t-shirts outside of said concert.

Beefcake main evented Starrcade...
Apparently the reason he was given so many gimmicks was because he ruined shot after shot to get over, this according to Jimmy Hart in his rf shoot, that he kept getting shot after shot because of Hogan.
Virgil at least got fired when his act got stale, Ed Leslie kept his employment and got opportunities that he wasted.

Beefcake was the first who came to mind on seeing the title so him. He had a running knee, a weird strut and a piss-poor sleeper hold, yet main-evented Summerslam and Starrcade. All because of his tagging on to Hogan. Strictly speaking he was named in a double main event of Wrestlemania too, in what turned out to be another dreadful match. Wow, didn't realize how much I hated the guy until I started typing!

Ric Flair. If Vince and Triple H weren't such massive fanboys he'd likely have ended up in prison due to tax evasion or living on the streets after being sued by creditor after creditor, something that would likely have served as a wakeup call and done the guy some good, but instead they kept his party lifestyle going for another decade then welcomed him back with open arms after he'd shafted everyone else who'd tried to employ him. He'll kiss their behinds until the day he dies to keep the money flowing, unless they cut him off at some point then they'll be the worst people to ever do bad things.

But now they aren't. Also kind of surprised and not surprised that Doug Gilbert wasn't a choice.
