I started watching Kitchen Nightmares to cheer myself up. Some of these folk should be banned from owning anyplace that serves food.

This chick just accused Ramsey of planting a dead mouse in her nasty ass restaurant. I'm dead.

Apparently there is a baking show coming starring Samuel L Jackson. Now I really want to see a Jackson vs Ramsay cuss off.

I started watching Kitchen Nightmares to cheer myself up. Some of these folk should be banned from owning anyplace that serves food. i see every third episode and think i ask that very same question ..... these people barely have BASIC business acumen, let alone the right to serve the public food! then i laugh at what i would not describe as appetising food served to the poor guy but then i have 50 minutes to go .....

As a person who worked f***ing hard for the right and honor to be called a chef some of these people make me sick. Ramsey totally reminds me of a teacher I had at school tho. Chef Richard cursed us out a time or 20 but it made us better.

Some of the folks on KN are just too dumb to live. It's amazing to watch.
The clueless parents in the Burger Kitchen two-parter, Amy and her cat-sons, the attempted lawsuits from folks who just couldn't stand to look bad, the lazy owner of Piccolo Teatro who ended up becoming a prostitute...

Can't stand the American version, The UK version is much more enjoyable. Agreed. The UK version feels waaay more intimate, which is why I enjoy it much more. The American version is so loud and obnoxious, which is entertaining, but not something that I can watch hours on end like the UK version.

Can't stand the American version, The UK version is much more enjoyable. Does the US version have a self-indulgent shot of Ramsey taking off a t-shirt and putting on his chef whites? The UK one did. Every. Single. Week.

I always find it kind of funny when people point out how many places he tries to save still fail, as if that cancels out his advice being any good.
Think about the kinds of places on the show. If his rate of success is any higher than 0 percent, then he is doing something, because they all pretty much end up on there because they've got a foot in the grave.

I think there was an article on Cracked.com that put it the best; it said, and I'm paraphrasing, "a lot of these restaurants are already so far into the red that no amount of an angry scotsman yelling at them until their food stops tasting like farts is going to help".

Yeah, I remember one of them called him when they had like over a million dollars in debt... at that point there isn't a hell of a lot you can do to turn around a business. Not to mention there's the fact that well... Gordon is there for a week and most of the reasons these places are failing are because the owners are lazy or incompetent. If they only get better because Ramsey is there yelling in their face to stop being lazy and incompetent they are going to slide right back after he's gone. Does the US version have a self-indulgent shot of Ramsey taking off a t-shirt and putting on his chef whites? The UK one did. Every. Single. Week. Yeah It may not be every week but it happens a fair bit It happens way more in the British version. Me and my brother decided it must be in his British contracts that he must be shirtless in all of his shows at least once. Including one where he takes his shirt off in the shows intro
