No way Strowman wins it. Taker wins after drawing around #28, faces Cena in the main event of Mania for the belt I would do Title vs Career honestly

People keep saying that they want new, fresh faces in the main event. They forget to mention the part of it has to be an approved choice. You don't want Roman but you're not fans of Strowman. The same Strowman whose been a major highlight on Raw. The same Braun who took out former world champions and showed he is a major threat to them when facing them by himself. Not like they haven't been spending months building him up as a force of nature. People fear the unknown more than they want to admit. They like the status quo. They need the status quo. Because how can you rebel against the machine without the status quo. Yes, people generally want someone they want to win the Rumble, to win the Rumble. That seems a bit tautological to me, but whatever. I mean, you might as well say people are hypocrites for saying David Arquette was a bad choice to win the WCW title because, hey, it's not like he's Hogan! Also, it's possible to like someone and not think they should be pushed to the moon. I like Strowman, but he should definitely not win the Rumble and main event Mania now. I also like guys like The Miz and Heath Slater, but I also think they shouldn't be main eventing either. It's possible that the appropriate spot on the card for some people is not the main event.

Not that many fresh options that WWE is willing to push as main eventers. We can name Big E or Zayn or Kofi all we want but it's either someone management been pushing like Braun or an old standby like Taker. Even the year Benoit won he was getting a push before hand.

If they want to make a star they'll have him eliminate Brock and Goldberg to win it.

Now there, I'm absolutely with you. I'd say Big E/Kofi are interesting choices, Zayn is someone I'd hold off on for at least a year (due to where he is on the card now - if you spend a year building a story about him chasing the title, then he can get the win next year). I think the Joe option is a good one (and yes, I think he is in a better spot now than Zayn, despite the fact that he's not on the main roster). Cesaro would have been an intriguing option if he hadn't just won the tag titles (if that angle were, say, four or five months further along, and you could have Sheamus and Cesaro drop the titles at the Rumble, and then Cesaro win the Rumble, then he would be an option). Balor I guess is an option, assuming he's healthy (though I've personally cooled on him the past couple of years).
