The greatest New Years movie ever made. One of the greatest Rom-Com's ever made. If you haven't seen it this is the weekend.

Huge fan. Billy Wilder might just be my favorite director.

I used to resent it because it beat-out Psycho for Best Picture. Then I watched it. It's one of the very best movies of its time period. It's a great movie.

Yes, Billy Wilder made so many great movies. Sunset Boulevard. Ace in the Hole. Double Indemnity. Witness for the Prosecution. One, Two, Three. Stalag 17. Some Like It Hot. The Seven Year Itch. And I could keep going.

Love this movie.
Funny if you explained the plot to someone that's never heard of it they would never guess it was from a movie made 56 years ago. "It's about a man you who lets his bosses use hís apartment so they have a safe place to f*** their mistresses!"

Probably my second favorite Wilder movie after Double Indemnity.

Totally. This is how you do New Years. And if you're a single, it's even better (in a depressing kind of way, but you get to wallow in it, so there is that). Equal parts funny, charming, and depressing. I love that it is able to do all of those things.
