So 2016 is just about done. What grade does WWE get for the year?

I went with a B. There were a fair amount of problems but I enjoyed things for the most part. Tons of great matches.

Need another grade called "A-J". He's responsible for lot of good stuff on tv and ppv this year

Still feels like they're in a bit of a rut, but 2016 at least had more interesting things happening then most of the other recent years. They seem to be trying a bit harder than they were. Though they still need to fix their Wrestlemania formula. The rest of the year is getting better.
I'll give it a B-

I gave it a C-, and looking back that's probably generous.
Raw was so bad that for the first time ever I have quit watching it. Mainly thanks to Roman Reigns, but special shout out to shitty writing/stories and Charlotte.
SDL is a beacon of light. Every week it's a fun show and Talking Smack is usually great, last week being one of the few exceptions.
NXT has fizzled to the point outside of Takeovers, I don't care at all.
The CW's have mostly bombed after such a great start with the CWC.

B. Match quality was all around fine, and the consistent awesomeness of SmackDown Live helped, too.

Raw gets 20/100.
SmackDown gets 90/100.
NXT gets a 70/100.
Pre-Split gets 70/100
Cruiserweight Classic 80/100
Averages to under half. So they get an F. Raw really drags it down.

C-, and that's only on the merits of Smackdown and NXT being decent and the CWC. Raw has been top-to-bottom garbage, with the most over act being a failed attempt to form main event heels that nobody wants to see lose and for whom crowds pop when they talk.

I went with a C-
Smackdown has been great, CWC was great and NXT, outside of TO, has just been okay.
Raw was absolute shit so I stopped watching back in October. My first time ever that I stopped watching. I keep up with Jericho, Owens and Charlotte on WWE's YouTube highlights but that's about it.

C- very good but could be better
+ smackdown has been great + up and coming talents have shone (Mainly SD) + Alexa Bliss + Good wrestling + women's wrestling finally taken seriously (Raw booking aside)
- Raw - Roman Reigns push - Booking has been baffling - most PPVs have been awful - treatment of the Cruiserweight division

Uhhhhh...This year was better than the past two years but not by much. Lots of individual stuff I liked but I wasn't particularly impressed by the general product. C-, I guess.

The product this year has nearly killed all of my interest in wrestling. The only thing I regularly watch in full anymore is 205 Live, because it's only an hour long and the threads for it are really fun.

Raw - F - stopped watching completely Smackdown B - good two hours of wrestling flies through, could use a couple of more stars just to boost it a little and stop same people reappearing in segmetns NXT - after the Texas take over - C - chugging along, feels like its in a transition period PPVS- C only watch the big 4 or smackdown ones

RAW-F. I don't even bother watching it on the SKY Planner. I read the results online the minute I wake up and that does it for me
Smackdown-B-. Could still be better, but at least I watch it on the planner and am invested in every storyline presented on it. Plus it's only two hours, and that's like 45 minutes in wrestling years these days.
NXT-Don't watch unless it's a Takeover, which are normally Cs with A+ main events, if that makes sense. Still a highly overrated brand.
PPVs B-, some interesting shows this year with some quality matches and genuine surprises
WWE a a whole: I'll be generous and give it a B-. Only real failures were RAW and Reigns.

Tons of good matches this year. They're trying to evolve finally, but it's in their own quirky and ass backwards way, but it's something. I'll be generous and go with a B-, just because I'm glad they're willing to try new things. This was AJ Styles' year, and while everyone knew he'd be a good talent to have, I think his rise to the main event was shocking (in a good way) and he handled it like the veteran that he is.
Raw has lots of talent I want to see with tedious pacing, Smackdown is overall a much easier show to sit through but lacks most of the stars I want to see, NXT is good in piecemeal form. It was a good year overall, but I'd be lying if I said it captivated me on a consistent basis. 2017 has big potential for Braun, which I would've kicked myself saying this time last year. Hopefully they finally let go of this idea of Roman Reigns being some big mega star. Jericho/Owens should hopefully have a satisfying conclusion. They've made so much money on Finn Balor and the freakin' guy had one match at the Demon on the main roster. That shit is MONEY, and I fully expect him to be a huge deal next year. I'm interested to see where New Day goes. I think a full swing heel turn and drafting to Smackdown, with a MITB win could do the group wonders. Brock Lesnar was f***ing garbage this year, and if it takes Goldberg to motivate him to do something, I have no faith next year will be much different.

I'm gonna go brand by brand.
Raw - F: It's barely a wrestling show now. It's poorly written, embarrassing garbage. I hope 2017 leads us to a point where we don't see the McMahon family plastered all over the screen each week, but fans have been wishing for that for years. The main-event scene is stagnant as hell. Kevin Owens has damn near been the most poorly booked champion of all-time. I never thought they would do worse than Mysterio's reign, but by God they have done it. I am sick to death of seeing Rollins and Reigns in the main-event. Enough. Raw may be the "A brand" in their eyes, but the actual product is below everything else they produce.
Smackdown - C+: I enjoy Smackdown, but they got into a "Same shit, different week" pattern for a while there. The James Elsworth thing went on way too long.
NXT - C: It's definitely went down in quality. They lost big names and the big names they still have there (In my opinion) seem bored and want to move on.

I'm nothing if I'm not fair so they get a D+ from me.If not for Aj and the Jericho resurgence it'd probably be a T.
