Hmmm....it's all a bit murky.

Is it really that far out of the realm of possibilty that a man that was wrestling for like 5 decades and done god knows how many drugs might have seriously screwed up his brain in the process?
I mean I'm not saying he is innocent or guilty... but people talking about that he's clearly faking it...
we can see the effects of wrestling did to people like Mick Foley who needs his daughter with him at like all times for fear he'll forget where he is...
and it takes a shitload of evidence to prove someone mentally incompetent to stand trial.
I do feel for the family of the deceased for not getting a legal standing on it one way or the other however.

Honestly, Snuka's practically on his deathbed anyway, I really can't see where it matters whether the charges are dismissed or not.
And I'm inclined to believe his mental issues are genuine. Courts typically take more to rule someone not competent than just a guy stammering and acting like he's not sure on things.

While that's not a guarantee, most doctors won't just throw those type of numbers out willy-nilly either... especially in court.

Even for a pacific islander, he used them constantly.

Some fans made fun of Jimmy for his incompetency over the years, making light of him only being able to say "bruddah" and now, in the eyes of the law, it is the truth.
Having worked with drug addicts for years and seeing the violent tendencies in them, I'm sure he killed Nancy although in a drug induced state. He should have gotten his time for trial 20-30 years ago but it didn't happen. Now, he truly is unable to aid in his defense and he nor his family are trying to fool anyone, they are just presenting his health the way it really is and the way the law will allow him to not face trial. The ruling is correct, in regard to his mental health at this time, though.

It's sucks he'll never face justice, but I've got no problem believing he's not competent to stand trial. It's next to impossible to work a team of doctors who are trying to prove you're mentally fit for trial.
Given what his doctor has said about his life expectancy, it's not as if he's going to have long to celebrate his freedom, and for all the talk about dying surrounded by his loved ones it seems a good amount of the time he doesn't even recognise who they are any more. That's not an especially pleasant end, whichever way you slice it.

Jim Cornette and Dave Meltzer discuss the case. Language warning.

That he tried to work the police into believing he didn't speak English and was this wild savage, and waited for Vince McMahon to show up and speak on his behalf, is all the reason I need to believe he's still working everyone now concerning his mental state. Sorry, but if you kill someone and then try working people the day it happens, nobody has reason to believe that you're not working everyone while trying to avoid prosecution 30+ years later.
