Yeah, that sums up Ziggler. Not even cutting to a fan distraught at their favorite turning bad, but a fan who looks like she could care less about it.

The funny thing is, it's actually kind of a terrible time to turn Dolph because the only other decently over midcard face on SmackDown is Kane who's never around, but I can't hold it against them because it's incredibly overdue. And clearly a lot of people besides just us have been wanting it with the way the crowd exploded when it happened. Eh, I think it's fine. They're not massively over but they've got Kalisto, Crews, Mojo, Swagger, Kane, maybe Shelton on the face side. On the heel side they only had Hawkins who's a nothing, Corbin who is mixing with the main event and Miz who is busy with Ambrose. Ziggler will fill the gap nicely and it'll help him personally tremendously.

Guys, please, no more off topic stuff concerning what I said in this thread. Yes, I removed a few posts, to hopefully get it back on topic. If you want to address it with me I welcome the PM. Thank you.

When Shelton Benjamin gets the all clear he'll probably debut on SDL as a face. Him v Ziggler would be a decent little feud.

I feel like this heel turn would have been really well timed a few months ago before the "YOU'RE A LOSER DOLPH. THAT'S ALL YOU DO. LOSE!" stuff had run its course to the point of being exhausting and burial-esque with that weird little hotshot back-and-forth of the IC title to him and then back to Miz kind of killing both guys' storylines. Place this turn in like October or even mid-November and I think it would have had a lot more impact, but I feel like they drew it out too long.

Something around the time of the second Miz loss, before he put his career on the line, seemed the best to me but I like how they built it looking back. He won the Summerslam (?) WWE Title shot and lost, went after the IC Title and won it in a great moment to have it ripped from him, and won a WWE Title shot and got pinned. That build, build, build to rip it away like that gives it that much more oomph, since instead of just being told he has lost a lot, they made sure to show it in every heartbreaking detail.

I guess, but I don't think the audience really needed to be shown that Dolph always loses, that's kind of been his schtick for years. But I think having him win the IC title and then have it bounce back did little good for him and was just a face-saving mood, while it kind of turned down the gas on Miz's flame a bit by having someone actually get the better of him only to have him win it back anyway. Drawing it and pushing him into that desperate place is good, but spending almost half a year doing it is some extreme overkill for a burn that wasn't slow so much as it was immediately bursting into flames.

Vince must get a hard on whenever there's bad camera work, huh?

Holy crap, whoever decided to start doing audience shots seconds after something happens needs to lose their job.

They could at least get good crowd shots, but then you're showing people not caring about your product, not amazing.

These production managers need to take some Live Television production classes at the local state college (hey I hear Full Sail offers some of that!) I mean it looked like the little girl WAS having some kind of shocked expression on her face in the first millisecond of the cut to her, but she quickly goes to the indifferent expression as soon as they change cameras.
How difficult is it to play a REPLAY of her expression when the camera actually saw her with the shocked expression? Why are you playing live footage of the crowd, does anybody at home care if the crowd shots are live or not? Delay that sumbitch 3-10 seconds so we can get the reaction shots we're supposed to get. It's not rocket science.
It takes an okay segment and makes it into a great segment. But time and time again I see these 'monkeys in the truck' as Kevin and Chris call them, running the wrongly-timed footage in the crowds. SMDH
Anyway, always liked Ziggler as a heel more, and his Twitter handle once again makes sense. I didn't understand him jumping from IC feud to the World Title picture within a week's time but now him being oh-so-close to the WWE title as a midcard heel gives him the legits to go against Crews and the other babyfaces if they are gonna stretch something out for him past the Rumble. He should have a decent promo next week where he realizes Austin Aries is right, putting your thumb in the guys' eye if you can't win the strap with just hard work is always the way to win.
It's just a shame they did absolutely nothing to build off that Survivor Series win a coupla years back when he was the hottest face on the roster. Oh wells.

And I think it was just the match before it. They showed an Mom jumping excited after ziggler hit a big move

SMDH As a guy whose worked lots of live televised sporting events what your asking for is basically impossible unless you have some pre-cognitive abilities. They switched over to her because she had thenough reaction they wanted that you saw at the beginning and then changed because that's what a live audience member does. And generally in the productions I've worked for the feeds for crowd shots usuallyou aren't even set for replays because it generally doesn't make any sense.
