Thought only their latest match was really a dud. I wouldn't say they're setting the world on fire but I don't think I'd call the Tables or Glass-Cow match bad.
Also Alexa works fine as a Heel, her size makes it all the more apparent why she cheats to get by sometimes. She uses any tactic she can to the point she is popping out her own joints to fake an injury.
Character Wise, Bliss seems to have it down to a science, she can use more in ring polish yes, but she is not terrible. You want someone who should have never left NXT before they did, RAW has both Nia Jax and Dana Brooke... who needed more seasoning for both Wrestling AND Character development well before they were ready... Both Alexa Bliss and Carmella at least character wise have been killing it, maybe that's a testament to Smackdown Writing, but in ring they aren't terrible to me either.
And yeah, that good writing goes into feuds too, and keep in mind this feud also had a mini break due to Becky needing to recover from an injury, it still feels good and fresh because they're writing it with new little twists and turns in the mix. Sasha and Charlotte had nothing new for half a year except Hot Potato Titles and LOOK A NEW MATCH WOMEN CAN DO LET'S CALL IT "HISTORIC", it diluted the rivalry and any feelings for it, Alexa and Becky like most people on Smackdown have been allowed to Breathe while Women on RAW along with most of that Roster friggen suffocates, sink or swim style...

Another thing that's helped is the rest of the division actually having things to do. Nikki/Carmella/Natalya have all had their evolving thing, Naomi's been a bit lost but then she can come back and shift up the dynamics, they're using NXT people as jobbers to give more variety in matches.
Whereas RAW, it's been Sasha/Charlotte and whatever scraps they can give everyone else, so it's not just them facing each other all the time, it's no one else doing anything which emphasises it even more.

To be honest the crowd reaction for Bliss and Becky has been lukewarm at best.

I feel Bliss does well enough so far and she's only going to get better. Her promo's, facial expressions, and character are among the best of the women. Also i feel being heel limits what she can do in the ring, i feel she is capable of a lot more. When she drops the belt to Becky at the rumble or Mania, give her a break from the title for a bit and put her with natalya, i think they can have a good set of matches. Also with Nia, she is pretty charismatic. Just watch one of her Facebook Q/A's with Alexa. If they ever wind up on the same brand (Smackdown hopefully) make them a team

I really liked the Glasgow match and the Tables match. There is a match type where you have to put your opponent through Glasgow? Nah, but you can only hit them with a Glasgow.

And it's only been...alright. Which is a shame as I like both of them(and Charlotte and Sasha too)

Really enjoyed the Luchadora stuff in the past weeks, keeps it fresh and interesting!
Matches ranged from subpar to okayish, hopefully they turn it up at RR

Man, it's been 4 months already? It doesn't feel like it.
Sasha/Charlotte feels like it's been FOREVER.

Sasha/Charlotte feels like it's been FOREVER. that's because Sasha/Charlotte went on for almost a full year and most of that were spent in singles matches. Which is especially inexcusable because Smackdown has 2 hours and Raw has 3. You'd think it'd be the other way around.

On smackdown you have 3 consistants woman storylines, sure natalya and nikki story is bad , but still given fair time. And carmella has her storyline with james ,which her is the bigger focus

I like both feuds equally, its nice having a feud where there's more of a chase and very character driven, such as Becky vs Alexa and its nice to have a feud where the title changing really shows off the competitive nature of the feud. Sasha and Charlotte are the best on their brand so why not trade the title back and forth? I loved when The Rock and Mankind did it when I was a kid.
Basically my point is, I'm sick of predictable feuds and both have done really well at being unpredictable.

Character wise, Alexa IA coming into her own, but her arsenal can use a few power moves to give her some more "oomph" which has resulted in average at best matches with becky. The plus to this, is that there's only been ONE title change over all this time in comparison to raw's division. The biggest problem with Alexa is that personality and character wise she's much better suited as a heel but in ring she's much better suited to be a face due to how small she is and also because she can showcase her athletic ability. As a heel she's very limited on offense because she can't do too many athletic spots so she don't get face pops and she can't really do power movers because she's too small and not physically strong enough to pull them off. The Brian Kendrick had the same problem during his heel run in 2008-2009 as he couldn't rely on high spots any more but was way smaller then everyone on the roster and couldn't do power stuff either, so as a result his offense basically consisted only of rest holds and weak strikes. And I can't resist any opportunity to praise TBK but I love how he wrestles doing every dirty trick in the book and how vicious he looks. If Alexa wrestles as dirty it would work really well especially with her Harley Quinn look and Freddy Krueger gloves she sometimes wears. Plus she does great facial expressions which is one of the harder things and last things wrestlers learn and those go hand in hand together in wrestling dirty.

What separates the two long-term women's title feuds is that Becky/Alexa has actually been paced well and not constantly jerked about back and forth. Everything was led up to in a sensible and timely manner, and keeps shifting in a way that tells a different story; from Becky looking to assert herself out of the gate as the inaugural champion to Alexa looking to come at her with everything in the book to get the title, on now to Becky's pursuit for redemption as the wronged face chasing the heel, everything has told a properly flowing story. With Sasha/Charlotte over on Raw, it's just "BLAH BLAH HISTORY BLAH" with the title getting hotshotted back and forth with the horrible and predictable pattern of Sasha winning it on TV and then losing it on the PPV. Becky/Alexa is a plot arc, Sasha/Charlotte is a circle. And that's just the really basic conceit of how you tell a story; progress things and build off of what came before to advance the story forward. When you do that, you're telling something that people are willing to watch play out over time. When you just do the same month's worth of storyline over and over with different match types, you're just creating filler and subjecting the audience to the same thing over and over again to diminishing returns and interest.
Raw is booked around last-minute script changes, indecisive finishes that get flipped midway through the story, and a general week-to-week mentality that keeps a lot of plot lines from getting the proper development they need. Which is great if you're doing a sitcom with negative continuity, but not when you're trying to tell stories and have a fanbase who follow you every week expecting the stories to actually be stories and not just cut-and-paste versions of last week.

It definitely seems a lot less dragged out due to the variance in it, with stuff like becky's time off giving ALexa a chance to establish herself, and the Luchadora thing these last few weeks
As opposed to the Raw Women's Yoyo champion which is just 2 people being thrown at eachother in "historic" matches twice a month.

That's the line that separates Raw and SD storyline planning. Raw feels like everything was written last minute and no thought or heart has been put in the writing. Like if they are going to keep hotshotting the belt, what they should be aiming for with Sasha vs. Charlotte is to present it as Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird. Give them a reason to feud, build up there matches, build up the anticipation of winning or retaining the title. Outside of The Hell in a Cell match that had a decent buildup, it just feels like as both Charlotte and Sasha walks into the building Vince is like "K were having a title change tonight gals lol." Oh and we'll just get Cole yelling historic.

Alexa might not be ready in the ring..... but I think she is an outstanding heel. I still remember when she first turned in NXT, I didn't think there was a chance in hell I would ever buy her as a heel.
