So Joe is pretty much a lock for the Rumble then? And Nakamura. Seems like Aries(once he comes back), Hideo(See Aries), Hero, Roode, EY, Strong are the new guard for the heavyweights.

* NXT General Manager William Regal is out with Dasha Fuentes in the ring. He announces Asuka vs. Peyton Royce vs. Billie Kay vs. Nikki Cross is the Women's Title match for Takeover, and against his better judgment, he wants to hear from all four ladies, who have assured him this won't break down. Sasha introduces Peyton and Billie. Peyton tells Dasha they've got it from here. They run down Nikki and Asuka and say one of them will leave as champion. Dasha introduces Nikki. Nikki gets in the ring and acts all crazy. Dasha introduces Asuka, who charges the ring with no music. Asuka passes Nikki and runs The Aussies out of the ring. Nikki and Asuka go nose to nose but Regal tries to separate them. The Aussies attack from behind but get taken out. Before Asuka and Nikki can square off, security charges the ring. Nikki and Asuka take them all out with kicks and punches, then Asuka lays Nikki out with a spin kick. Security pulls Asuka from the ring but Nikki dives off the top rope and takes them out. Regal looks on upset as the Aussies are horrified
* NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Tajiri defeated Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe. Really fun match, Nakamura hit the Kinshasa on Joe for the win. After the match, Nakamura celebrates until Kassius Ohno's music hits. Ohno makes his return and comes out in a suit. He starts to take his jacket of, but instead makes an elbow and elbows the NXT Title on Nakamura's shoulder, then leaves

I hope Strong develops a good character because I became a mega-fan when I saw him live at NXT:Sacramento. An amazing match he had with Oney Lorcan.

I don't think Aries is long for NXT, I have a feeling when he's back he goes to the cruiserweight division. I agree about the rest being there for a while.

Aries will be on 205/RAW when his face heals. I do wonder if Hideo will even return, most people sign 3 year deals and his would be up soon if that is the case.

Right he is an easy insert into the division once he heels. You still got options tho with Almas and Dillinger fitting those spots as well. They are pretty well off in regards to HW division

His English has become pretty strong and you can see he has worked a lot at it. It depends what his frustration level is because he can simply go home and get a kings welcome but the fans still show him a lot of love here

I wish he had better theme music though. That intense rock doesn't fit his personality at all. Guessing it'll change once they get a CFO$ theme made for him.

Almas has become great since the heel turn. He is def a darkhorse pick down in NXT and even his fallback option is coming into CW division on main show. You can see he is more motivated for sure after those comments with ADR somewhat throwing him under the bus

I love how they're presenting Nikki right now. Someone who can out crazy Asuka and flabbergast the Aussie women at the same time. Four way would be a good way to take the title off Asuka without her eating a pin as well. Be interesting to see her come up to the main roster with a relatively unblemished recorded.

I could see Hideo staying if they can sell him on a long-term program and main-roster call-up, but otherwise I seem him going back to Japan and maybe RoH.

He's been so much better since the heel turn. As for Tye, could go either way. I wouldn't be surprised to see him goto the main roster soon, but wouldn't be surprised if they keep him in NXT and give him a big push

I like heel Almas, but I think losing to Lorcan on TV may have set him back again. He needs a feud where he gets to dominate the shit out of No Way Jose, and then move on to a bigger face (Dillinger? DIY?) and then Jose needs a decisive win over Eric Young after he loses to Almas.

I don't want to see Tye get called up yet, I am really hoping he gets the redemption storyline and unseats Roode WM Weekend. Even if he only gets the belt for a taping or two I thing that could be a great story that would really stick out in what has become a Great Match Era.

Plus they are WAY overdue for an NXT Champion who isn't just some indy guy and is actually a product of NXT. Depending on how you look at it the last one was either Sami, since he actually got built up in NXT and they made him their own, or Bo since he was the last person who really grew mostly within the WWE system.

I wonder if Thorne actually did his knee again, because that was pretty heavily taped up at Takeover: Toronto... Although not so much on the Australia tour.
I say again because I believe he hurt it a couple of years back, just as they were about to sign for NXT.

I am worried about Nikki Cross. I think playing a crazy character might be a shame as her previous egomaniac character in Shimmer with her pre-match promos was just the best.
