I didn't get my license until I was 25 due to anxiety and depression issues.
Now I can't imagine not having one.

While my wife has a drivers licenses because of anxiety and some other problems, she hasn't driven in about 2 years. Which is really hard on us because she or our daughter has an appointment somewhere and I'm the only one that can take them.

There are times where I am very upset that I can't drive. I rely on people to take me places, and they say they don't mind, but I do wish I could drive, sometimes.

I don't drive and honestly day to day it doesn't really affect my ability to have a successful life.

Didn't pass my test until I was 22 and it took me 9 times to pass (this was after my first two tests were cancelled due to various reasons so I didn't pass until my 11th booked really). Found the test situation very nerve racking and very depressing when I failed. My confidence isn't high in general so failing so many times got to me.
This year marks 10 years since I passed and I'm reluctant to give up driving even though it might benefit me money wise. I very much appreciate the fact I can drive and don't try to take it for granted just cos it took me so long to pass.

I have a fear of driving.....I'll just wait until everyone stops laughing. Anyway, I do have it as a long term goal to learn. I have my permit. I want to go to a driving school in my area, but I'm a bit embarrassed as I know the majority of people there are high schoolers.

I didn't get my license until 2 days after I turned 18,back then you could get it at 15. Joined the Army and didn't drive much for years. Once I was out hated driving, hate hate hate heavy traffic, and tried to drive as little as I could.
But that developed into a fear of driving. Went 3 years without driving at all. Work was 2 miles away so walked there. Had every kind of store I needed with in at least 3 miles,so walked to them. And would catch rides from people.
I am slowly getting back into driving more often. If I know the area and can get there by using major highways and not some 2 lane backroad I will do ok.Mostly what has helped me conquer my fear is my lady lives a bit over an hour away from me. In one of the biggest cities in the state,so always heavy traffic. I just got tired of having to have her either come get me or not being able to see her often. I still have times I get almost there have a panic attack. Have to park and she comes to get me. But those are happening less and less.

My ADHD is bad enough that I literally can't keep track of the million things I need to do without an instructor being there.

I was born with cerebral palsy. Can't judge distances very well and I have a fear of high speeds if I was behind the wheel. I do fine as a passenger

I haven't needed to. Most things are nearby my condo and for anything else I use Uber. It's a big moneysaver.

I can't drive because I'm dirt poor & you need lots of money just to go to driving school (a state requirement), let alone a car.

Can't drive. Never learned when I could see and now my vision is damaged so it's out of the question.

I don't drive, for the safety of others. I nearly crashed into a hospital when I had a driving lesson. That combined with my anxiety & tendency to steer towards whatever I was looking at made me decide I was better off walking. I've never regretted it.

The wife asked what type of headaches and where the pain is. She said that if another cause isn't found, seek a 2nd opinion and pursue the Chiara because she's in contact with a lot of people that have smaller herniation that cause symptoms like the headaches. Her herniation is a bit over 20mm though, and obviously she's not a doctor. I'm a type 1 as well, I guess my herniation isn't as severe cause my doctor always seems to scoff at me when I ask if it's cause for concern. Can't exactly afford a second opinion because I don't have insurance. No need for it, mostly native. lol If I ever get any headaches, it's in the back of my neck towards the base of the skull but ibuprofen seems to get rid of them quick enough. Really? I get headaches there a few times a month. I wonder if this is my problem.

I've never lived more than 30 minutes walk from wherever I need to be, so I never bothered getting a license.
However, now my theee year-old son lives a 40-minute drive away and I have a friend from the U.S. visiting next year who wants to go to places where public transport isn't convenient I don't have a lot of choice in the matter. Getting a license is about as close to a New Year's resolution as I have.
