Dolph Ziggler. I know technically that was a redebut but the whole thing where he went around shaking hands with everyone and introducing himself? I understand now that it was some kind of insider reference to that whole unwritten rule about shaking hands or something but to the average fan it was just a bunch of awkward vignettes where this guy would introduce himself and the other people were just kinda 'ok' and went back to what they were doing. They were supposed to look at his giant penis while shaking hands. Dolph Ziggler, Dirk Diggler pr whatever the porn stars name was

and apparently Kizarny thinks his run was worthy for himself to call him WWE Superstar Strictly speaking, he's not wrong. As brief and terrible as his "run" was, he was indeed employed as a WWE Superstar. Yeah, don't know anything about him having an ego but he was employed on main WWE TV for as brief a time as it was he can add "Former WWE Superstar" to his resume and make more money on the Indy scene... so more power to him.

So I tried finding this yesterday because of this thread and didn't find anything, so maybe I completely imagined this.
But didn't DH Smith initially debut in some random battle royal or locker room-clearing brawl? I think the announcers kind of mentioned it but it was the first time he'd ever been on RAW. This is before he got sent back to developmental. There's like no record of this that I can find but I distinctly remember someone on here making a thread about it afterwards freaking out about how WWE mishandled the debut of someone who could be a big star for them (lol).

Believe you are thinking of Randy Orton and John Cena vs. teh Raw Roster. But that was not his debut. He debuted against Carlito with a promo about being Davey Boy's son. edit: could also be a post Hart Dynasty thing they did where he was in a cowboy hat for some reason.

Tensai. The moment the crowd realized who it was, combined with the heavy theatrics and the slow, plodding style he opted to use, whole thing was dead in the water before the match was over. Should never have had the mask and robe. Should have just gone out and battered people rather than starting with that chewing-the-scenery slow style. His matches with Sheamus were brilliant because they just kicked the piss out of each other.

"This is Primo. Welcome to the WW-JOHN CENA!" *Adamle just goes to talk to Cena instead* Can you blame him? It is Primo.

I think the robe and mask could have been fine if they just had him not do all teh slow plodding ninja poses. Also maybe mention before his debut that it was a return.

Exactly. Dude had promotion and appearances on WWE TV as a featured talent, so he's got every right to use the Superstar tag. It's not like the nobodies who've never even been near a WWE event yet wear a crappy clown mask and advertise themselves as "former WWF Superstar Doink."

I don't think you can blame Kizarny's debut on anyone but himself. He wrestled so badly that night, Jackie Gayda would have been embarrassed. Good lord, the commentary for that match, too. Yeah, Kizarny was wrestling in slow motion, but GOOD LORD did JR and Tazz shit all over Kizarny. I don't think I've ever heard WWE commentary intentionally shit on a wrestler so much during their debut match.

My son just started watching wrestling when Dolph was doing that bit. Cracks me up how a simple handshake and "Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler" can really irritate a child under 10. "I HATE THAT GUY!" Nowadays, if we're both watching wrestling and I see Dolph, I tell him, "There's your buddy." He rolls his eyes at me.

I mean Big Show's was pretty terrible. His debut was him f***ing up and allowing Stone Cold to win. THEY'LL NEVAH SEE IT COMING, BRO!

Swing and a miss for WWE, or me I suppose.
