I listened to the show and I can't remember who the fourth person was that the emailer suggested and was immediately shot down by Meltzer. Anybody remember? Original Tiger Mask (Sayama)

You can't make the list without Riki, Baba and Inoki. Number 4 however is open for debate and I'd have to say Misawa takes that spot for me.

Were I to make my Rushmore totally personal, it'd probably be Tenryu, Misawa, Muta and Liger.

I like the idea of the fourth guy being something different, either a gaijin or a light heaviweight. The former's gotta be Hansen and the latter's gotta be Liger, right?

Does Inoki really deserves to be there after he almost killed New Japan with the stupid MMA crossovers and the yakuza ties? f*** I guess you can't take him out of there.
I think Hansen did more for puroresu than most Japanese wrestlers, he managed to stay there and be a huge draw for almost 30 years.
I watched a documentary on him where Kenta Kobashi interviews him and the guy was pretty much seen as one of their own.
With all due respect to Terry Funk, I think his stock suffered a lot in Japan after he said he was gonna retire but came back. In the Sabu rf shoot he said that fans called Funk a liar after that.

This isn't what would really be on it, but if it was made by me:
Misawa Kobashi Tiger Mask Jushin Liger

Let's just say that Inoki had over 30 years of good, or at least influential, stuff before he went MMA-bonkers. Including the fact that he practically created the basis for what is modern MMA.
