Dub-Induced Plot Hole: The Japanese dub accidentally has Snips outright state in front of Spike that he plans to bring an Ursa Major to Ponyville, but he doesn't do anything to try and talk them out of it, which is probably what he would have done if he heard it in the original version.

Early Installment Weirdness: The episode handles unicorn magic a bit differently than the show would settle into, going on the premise that unicorns are born with a concrete set of magic abilities rather than it being something that can be learned.

Wonderbolt Fleetfoot is first up today, this will be her 2nd ever Pony Rumble, her first one I'm afraid was not a very good showing, she will be hoping for a big improvement here, she got here by defeating Spitfire who was the odds on favourite to win their qualifier and Lightning Dust, Still Fleetfoot is the wonderbolts main representative in this years Pony Rumble so the pressure is on, She approaches the rostrum to draw out a ball, digs in and picks one out, There aren't many to pick from at this point, she picks one out and opens it up to see what number awaits her..... A "Meh" reaction.

Fleetfoot shall be entry 16 meaning she will kick off the 2nd half of Pony Rumble entrants, whilst not the worst number you could possibly draw, she will be disappointed not to be higher, still when you're a wonderbolt a lot is expected from you whatever number you draw, and Fleetfoot has to try and redeem herself after her previous disappointing outing, Can Fleetfoot do what Spitfire still hasn't been able to achieve and win the Pony Rumble?.. We shall see.

The reigning Pony Rumble champion Sonata is finally up to pick her number, last year she was left dead last and was lucky 30 was the only remaining ball that helped her to win the whole thing, Not quite last this year but still leaving it quite late, She received automatic Qualification for this Pony Rumble as the winner of last years, The goal this year is simple... Back to back Pony Rumble Victories and become the first ever 2 time Pony Rumble winner, She is hoping she might get lucky again and pick Number 30, remember they don't know what numbers remain in the draw.. So she approaches the rostrum and digs in and picks one of the 5 remaining balls, she opens it up to see if it will be a lucky number again........ A very disappointed look.

If Sonata is once again going to be Pony Rumble victor, she will have to do it from Entry 15, she has a bit more work to do this time, still this is a Number that on 2 occasions has come close to producing a Pony Rumble winner, Rarity in particular dominated from this number and Lightning Dust also ended up a runner up from this number, Still Sonata will be disappointed not to be 30 again, but all you can do is try.. Can Sonata pull it off and make it 2 Pony Rumble wins in a row?.... We will find out soon enough.
