I think Green Bay wins a close one over Atlanta and then deny Tom Brady his fifth ring.

For the teams I believe will square off in Super Bowl LI, I'll take:
- Atlanta 35, Green Bay 31: Aaron Rodgers has been otherworldly in recent weeks but with the injuries to Green Bay's receiving corps and secondary, he's essentially a one-man operation. I'm not enamored with the Falcons, particularly their defense, but their offense has been historically good and I think it's going to be a bad matchup for the depleted Packers defense. I fully expect a high-scoring affair because both teams rely on their offenses - particularly their quarterbacks - to carry them and I think that's what we'll see in the send-off for the Georgia Dome.
- New England 27, Pittsburgh 23: As has been noted in the past, the key to beating Tom Brady and the Patriots offense in the playoffs is to get pressure on him with three or four and drop seven or eight into coverage. When Brady feels pressure, particularly up the middle, he gets shaky and those precision passes become a bit more erratic. That's why I believe Houston had such success last Saturday and why I believe Pittsburgh won't have the same level of success, because I don't think their defensive front can attack Brady like that. That said, Pittsburgh is arguably the best team the Patriots have faced all season, so it'll be determined whether the Patriots surprisingly-effective defense is all its cracked up to be, or if it cracks under pressure. I expect a tight game that should be neck-and-neck until the waning moments.

A NE fan pulled the fire alarm at the Steelers hotel. I was a Bucs fan for about 20 years, and that fanbase is REALLY tough to like (they play into a lot of Florida stereotypes.) But there is no fanbase out there I loathe more than Boston's. They're brash, they're douchy, and they like to sweep their history of racism under the rug.
% I'm surprised: less than 1.
The Boston fans here are fine, but you know the segment I'm talking about.

I feel like any combo is going to lead to the NFC winning. That said I'm taking the Falcons over the Patriots.

Metro Atlanta in a Tornado Watch 'til 8:00 pm, I have a bad feeling that we may see the end of the NFC championship go on at the same time as the 2nd quarter of the AFC title game

I'm pretty certain the Patriots will beat the Steelers. My only hope is that I don't see someone toss their lunch in the middle of the field during the 3rd quarter or something with what's been going around the Steelers' locker room. Not now. Not in HD.
That said, I'm going back and forth on the NFC championship game something rotten. Aaron Rodgers is on fire, yes. And Matt Ryan is known for slipping on the last step, yes. But, the fact is, all the offensive weapons are at Matt Ryan's disposal. More than they ever have been. Jones, Sunu, Gabriel. Top to bottom, the better offense is Atlanta. Not to mention the Packers defensive backfield is so terrible outside of maybe Clinton-Dix.

And the defense has held when we've needed it the most down the stretch.

The Packers popped Jordy Nelson with pain pills. I have no doubts about that. 2 broken ribs and you're playing? I don't like that at all.

I hate that personal foul penalty call. Yeah, it was late but, he barely hit him.

Ahahahaha, f*** you Green Bay. See, I'd be joining you in that, but I've seen enough football to know not to count out Aaron Rodgers, no matter what the circumstances.

How was that not a late hit? The f****** ball was already thrown and incomplete before Rodgers ever got hit.

I understand Falcons have a deep offense but this is some pitiful defense from Green Bay.
