To be fair, the US Title has a black strap. The redesign I mentioned would keep the current design, but with red straps instead of black.

I don't think the IC title should ever change it's design. They tried it before and it looked cheap so they eventually brouht the classic one back. The only thing I didn't like was the white strap but I would miss that design if they change it.

Yep I'm glad you made a thread for it as I didn't have time to. I say they go ahead and debut the new belts at WM and give the winners of those respective matches the new titles. Vince McMahon: "We need this time for Shaq and Show. Can we put the belts on them?" |

Does WWE not realize that designing all their belts based on the show they are on mean that they can't just draft a champion to the other brand? Yeah, I was about to say that I'm sure they'll do this, and by next year do an angle where the belts change shows, anyway. |

Give it the same design. But make the strap blue.  If we can have a white strap and yellow strap IC Belt blue or purple would look amazing. |

Considering at this point the IC and US titles are by far the best-looking titles they have I'm unsurprised they've decided that needed to change. Gotta make sure all the belts look like crap.
Can they at least get an actual belt maker to design them this time?

One of the main reason why their changing the intercontinental belt design is because WWE doesn't own the rights to the classic IC belt design. So every time, they make merchandise of IC belt, they have to pay royalties to Reggie Park and Dave Millican. That the main reason why were never going to see the Winged Eagle on TV again.

US-Sure a change might be good. IC-For what reason? There is a reason why said belt resonates with fans. If it just gets a black strap or blue that's fine but this isn't just nostalgia talking. The '88-'98 WWF titles looked fantastic. I do agree. It is a bad idea given it's popular. |

I would keep the IC plate, as it is classic, but switch to a black strap.
The US design always bothered me. Have the flag and US colors, but something way less gaudy.

They were my two favorite current title designs. I think that the IC title is the best looking belt I ever seen. I do not trust WWE for making a nice design. The new belts are going to look like toys and many people are going to wish that they never got new designs.
