The irony is that Vince was raised in a trailer park in North Carolina, in Cornette's podcast, Bruce pretty much admitted that McMahon is a self loathing redneck, who's ashamed of his upbringing. My favorite part of Bruce's show is well you know all the impressions "first you take the chi-kiiinn, well you know, and then you add the ma-YO-naise, well you know, then you add the walnuts..(pause)...you know, the chi-kiiinn...." cracks me up every single time. I heard an interview with him a year or 2 ago, and he definitely had the accent. It made him sound happier, actually. Hiding an accent on TV is commonplace. He just managed to find a good voice rather than finding a really fake voice (many local newscasters do this across the country) - I'd guess WCW was less strict in that regard, but even still he didn't shed his TV voice much if at all. Fun fact: in something to wrestle with, Bruce revealed that McMahon sent Tony to enunciation school lol "you need to speak the King's English dammit!"

NWO Souled Out 97 will be Monday's show Cannot wait for Conrad and Tony to perform an autopsy on this infamous PPV the day after the Franky Bowl (Note I called the Super bowl the "Franky Bowl" because Franky from "One Piece" likes to say SUUPPEERRR)

NWO Souled Out 97 will be Monday's show Tony maybe one of the lucky ones that never saw this show seeing he wasn't on it and Bischoff & Dibiase did the announcing.

I got insomnia and the Goldberg podcast was just uploaded. It's kinda weird hearing Tony say f***. Apparently Bill Goldberg got suspended from Georgia because he got in trouble, he also challenged guys to wrestle in the Atlanta Falcons. Tony described him as a hot head. Now they're discussing the WCW power plant and how back in the day Gene Anderson just beat up guys. If you've watched Al Snow's shoot interview, it sounds like Ole and Gene used to just beat the piss out of people. I'm not some bad ass nor do I pretend to be, but I did do a bit of boxing and wrestling growing up and can handle myself if the need arises. If those 2 pulled half of the crap that Al Snow says they did, I don't care how much I wanted to be in dis bizness, they'd walk away with some chipped teeth or a broken jaw. There is training someone and then there is just beating the hell out of someone to prove that you are a tough guy and you know they won't fight back like you were in a real fight.

The problem is that they first tired the trainees for like an hour and a half then they stretched the guys. They did that because they were cowards. According to Ric Flair though, in Florida, Bob Roop tried to pull that shit on Dick Slater. Well Slater left him in a pool of his own blood.

That was another thing Snow said, they ran for miles and up and down the stairs. On one of the Legends of Wrestling, there is a clip of Bob Roop stretching some poor bastard and they act like it is such a great thing. I can't help but think of in high school of the bullies that preyed on the weak or vulnerable, the same people grew up to be Bob Roop, Ole Anderson, Bob Holly, etc.

It has been confirmed by guys who worked in the Florida territory (Kevin Sullivan, Flair, even Bobby Heenan) that Roop tried to get cute with Blackjack Mulligan, not only Blackjack f***ed him up, but made a point to beat up Roop every time he saw him.

That might be the greatest thing I've ever heard. One of my vivid memories of a fatherly talk from my Dad is him telling me no matter how big and bad you are, there is always someone who can whoop your ass. I couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 at the time. I don't know why that always stuck with me but I'd like to think it has kept me humble in different facets of life. But seriously how freaking dumb can you be? There is a list of people I'd never screw with in the wrestling business and no one ever should have, Blackjack Mulligan was on that list along with Meng, Harley Race, and Brock Lesnar.

nWo souled out is up today.
Tony jokes that blocking people in twitter gives him a woody. His wife at one point enters the room and curses him out. He pleads for people to buy shirts because his daughter is getting married lol

It is nice to see Tony agreeing with Meltzer instead of calling him a liar haha.
Tony admitted that the whole ppv was basically Bischoff's ego spiraling out of control. The matches sucked. The miss nWo pageant was demeaning. The production was amateur. The whole product was an embarrassment. The fact that this shit was a ppv speaks volumes of the company.
This was also the start of the nWo being watered down by having so many f***ing members.

Ehhh, we make it seem like they had 20 guys but they had like 8 members, w/Dibiase, Bischoff and Vincent in non-wrestling roles.

Big Bubba Rogers 3. Mike/VK/Mr. Wallstreet 4. Buff Bagwell 5. Scott Norton 6. Scott Hall 7. Kevin Nash 8. Syxx 9. Giant 10. Hogan ---- 11. Ted DiBiase 12. Eric Bischoff and total there were 28 members of the original NWO before they did the Hollywood/Wolf Pack split. with like 5 non wrestlers Vincent, Bischoff, Liz, DiBiase and Nick Patrick. that 28 members do not include the 3 celebrities that joined but did not wrestle ... the Dinner and a Movie hosts, and Kyle Petty, the NWO Nascar Driver.

At the end Conrad brought an excelent opinion of Meltzer during that time. That the ppv was a failure because fans didn't want to pay to see heels pretty much win all the matches and that said matches end up with screwjob finishes.
Tony agreed with Meltzer. He said that while the nWo was over as a faction, it was never gonna be a viable spin off show to Nitro, and this ppv proved it.

Haven't listened to it yet, but it does sound like a nice counterpoint to Bruce CONSTANTLY shitting on Meltzer, at least at the point of that podcast that I'm on(Just finished the Wrestlemania VII episode....tense stuff).

I think a big part of the appeal of this show for me, is that Tony seems a lot more personable than Bruce, who can come off(at least at the point of the podcast I'm on) as a little defensive and condescending.
