Rocky Marciano did whoop Joe Louis's ass. Joe Louis was 127 years old! I don't care how old he was, he got his ass whooped!

Okay, I'm going to assume the OP hasn't seen a lot of movies. How did we narrow down the poll to these five?
And BTW, The Dark Crystal scared the shit out of me as a kid. I refuse to watch it now.

Because I have these 5 movies on dvd right now waiting to be opened and played, that's how. Also, no Netflix or other streaming services.

I've only seen Coming To America, and it's a mustsee comedy. Watched it a few months ago, still hilarious and wonderfully cheesy in a typical 80s way

The Princess Bride. It's a breeze to watch even now, it holds up pretty well and has some of the most memorable characters in cinema.

Well, first they love me, and then they don't. Sometimes they do it, and sometimes they won't.

I went with Coming To America. It's funny as hell, I'm a proud owner of a Soul Glo t-shirt. The Princess Bride gets an honorable mention, also a great funny movie.

BTW OP, if you watch Coming to America, keep an eye out for a wrestling reference. In fact, it inspired a wrestling gimmick.

Well that's one down. The Princess Bride was great. Maybe tomorrow if I have nothing else planned, I'll watch Coming to America.

the fact that you've never seen The Princess Bride is inconceivable You keep using that word. I do not think that it means what you think it means.
