Follow the Stranger Things model and make it a retro movie set in the 70's or 80's, with suspense rather than gore.

Follow the Stranger Things model and Have a ton of Eggo product placement? Wonderful idea! I love it! make it a retro movie set in the 70's or 80's, with suspense rather than gore. Oh... That works too I guess...

Considering this is a sequel to the first two films I wonder if it will be set retro as stated above or if they will age it. Michael will be pretty old at this point if they do not.

Probably just do the, "Avoid saying the year and pretend the original happened in the 90s even though it very obviously didn't," thing like Texas Chainsaw 3D.

Oh God, I hate these kind of sequels. The Superman Returns route where some movies happened and some didn't. I'm already pissed that they are doing this with the Alien franchise. To me, a good filmmaker can make a good sequel to a shitty movie. For example, Predators was better than Predator 2, Rocky Balboa was better than Rocky 5, etc. Starting over or erasing some of the weaker films feels like cheating to me. It's an excuse to not have to put as much work into it.

Just make a sequel to "Season of the Witch". We all know that's what everybody really wants.

I don't get why they keep trying to reboot this stuff. Anyone who likes Michael Myers, Jason, Freddy, etc. would probably see a sequel set in the original storyline. You don't have to start over. It's really infuriating and makes even the WWE seem like they know their audience in comparison. These are franchises that gained their following through their absurd number of sequels. Just do more of the old shit. Infact, if I was directing that would literally be the title. Halloween IX: More of the old shit. That is what I love about these new Child's Play movies...Back to the basics without completely acting as if nothing happened...Hell we even have Andy back now...Pretty awesome in my book
