Both Nickelback and Arnold seem to generally be good sports about any shortcomings. It's really hard to hate them because of that. I think Nickelback, at the worst, are average. But they handle their backlash in stride, far better than I could ever hoped to. It would have gotten to me badly. |

But they handle their backlash in stride, far better than I could ever hoped to. It would have gotten to me badly. I think the reason why Nickleback is such an easy target is... well, you know how some works are not really great but are still massive successes because everyone can find a little bit of something to like about them? It's kind of the opposite: Nickleback are really not bad but everyone can find a little bit of something to dislike about them. Either that or it's backlash from overexposure when they're a fairly average band. |

Tell you what, I got Chills when I heard these guys were acting like Animals. I went to Twitter thinking they might have already Burned It To The Ground, but it seems like Cooler heads prevailed and everyone's Feeling Way Too Damn Good about Terminating it before it got out of hand. It takes a real Herculian effort to laugh off criticism and not go off like a Barbarian, and I'm sure that Someday they'll Totally Recall the Aftermath of this little episode like an old Photograph and laugh about it.
