Nothing beats "Prince Valiant"
It had that amazing theme song.

Saw it last night. Not the most faithful adaptation obviously, but a really fun movie.
Apparently it was pitched to studios as Snatch meets Lord of The stings which is quite apt.
It's quite clever, full of witty dialogue, uses music quite well, and manages to tell a compelling story. Really, that's more than I expected going in considering all of the reviews and nonhype in general.

Just watched it. Had a total blast. I don't understand the mixed reviews at all - the film is pure fun and has Ritchie's fingerprints all over it.
I LOVED how they handled the magic and monsters. The squid demon was so perfect too.
Also I'd follow Eric Bana into battle any day. Haha!

How good do the monsters look in-movie? It ranged from very solid to just ok. Nothing terrible though - a few of the creatures were really well put together imo. The Ursula-type creatures looked great. Conversely the giant snake that you see in the previews fit ok in the movie but just wasn't exceptionally well done CGI. Again, not terrible, just nothing especially creative or interesting - just a huge snake. Most of the stuff in the "dark lands" was perfectly done for that sequence.

Could the reaction to this movie be why Hunnam went from "I don't know who Green Arrow is, i'm not interested in the superhero genre" to "I still don't know who Green Arrow is, but hey DC, CALL ME!" in a matter of weeks.
