I have a recurring dream of Warrior running to the ring in a sea of people. Where does that split second clip from the True Story of WrestleMania of a ring in the center of the LA Colosseum originate from?

Maybe Vince tries really aggressively to steal Nikita Koloff and run USA vs. Russia? Technically the USSR was still together until 91.

But prior to that he had been on hiatus with his wife's cancer battle and eventual death. So I'm not sure that would have worked out in 1990.

I acknowledge its a long shot, and "steal" was the wrong word. Nikita was gone from WCW starting late '88 until February '91, but his wife died in '89 and he did some AWA and UWF dates between then and his WCW return. Aside from the fact he was obviously very depressed and his heart wasn't in it, I don't think a mid-late '90 WWF debut would necessarily be impossible. Would it work? Maybe not, cuz the Cold War was practically over, and you can't completely gloss over how sad and uninterested Koloff would have been even. Would Vince think it could work anyway? Yeah, probably.

Does anyone know why Tugboat wasn't even on the card? In drydock for repairs after he collided with a harbour wall.

I actually have no problem with the Slaughter main event, I just wish they had gotten there a different way. Ehhh....I did. Even 9 year old me realized that Slaughter was past his prime. They might as well have had Greg the Hammer Valentine in that spot.

Other: Warrior vs Savage - title vs career, followed by the exact match and ending sequence as we had.

There's also the issue of where it would have happened. They announced it would be at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum during Wrestlemania VI so you have to wonder what was Vince's initial plan back then to fill out that place. If he even had a plan that is. Maybe the Hogan/Warrior rematch? The Gulf War however gave them a convenient excuse to shift it to the Sports Arena when the ticket sales were so low.I've never understood this argument. If lots of empty seats making the company look bad was the issue, that was still going to be an issue even if ticket sales were much better. 60,000 tickets sold instead of 15,000 would have still meant over 40,000 empty seats. Would they really have still moved the show if that had happened?
