yeah I gotta go with Rogue. I mean, Darkseid is cool and all but there's a lot of other characters like him in the comic universe, and Rogue's kinda unique

There's no way Rogue should beat the Lord of Apokolips.

There's no way Rogue should beat the Lord of Apokolips. I'm telling you, its gonna come down to someone like Rogue and Dr Doom and Rogue is gonna win because 'she is hot'. And then I cry.

Yeah, but it just upsets me that an original, compelling character like the Silver Surfer got dropped by a moving pile of superstrong rocks, aka The Thing.

You can keep thinking what you wanna think, but you seem to forget that The Thing and the rest of the FF saved comicdom at one point.
Just because his power was super strength, doesn't mean he wasn't compelling or original. Quiet the opposite really.

Just because his power was super strength, doesn't mean he was compelling or original. Quiet the opposite really. This is kind of true, but to me, Thing is always just a pile of rocks with a dumb catchphrase. "IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!" just never did it for me. The only guy worth reading FF for is Doc Doom and the Human Torch.

To erisi: I hate you.
To Spanky: I think either I look too much into the character or you just don't pay attention.

To erisi: I hate you. To Spanky: I think either I look too much into the character or you just don't pay attention. Probably a bit of both. I'm sure he's better than I give him credit for, but I just hate "Super strong" characters. Always have, always will.

I guess the idea of a guy who turns into this hideous monstrosity while his friends all have cool unique powers and he has to deal with it and help the people who call him a freak, all while his friends try to cure him (but not really, they always just give up and say they need him too much) always intrigued me. That was one hell of a run on sentence.

Rogue continues to the next round. ---------------------------------------------- Next up ... Harley Quinn (defeated Mad Hatter & Angel) vs The Incredible Hulk (defeated Madeline Pryor: The Goblin Queen & Brainiac) I like Harley but only because of the Joker. Hulk however is cool, so he gets my vote.
