Flash Gordon. If it wasn't for Flash and the pulp heroes of his day, Superheroes would be different today.

Captain Britain kicks Flash Gordon out of the tournament ------------------------------------------- Next up a man of questions and a giant killer ... The Riddler (defeated Robin & The Vision) vs Polaris (defeated Superman & Ego: The Living Planet) Riddler gets my vote.

Hmm, this is an interesting match. The thing with the Riddler is that he really didn't do much in the comics until the "Hush" storyline. His B:TAS character was AMAZING but he was basically a glorified jobber in the comic books. Until Hush, that is.
I'll give it to the Riddler, because Polaris typically is confused or "turned evil" or what have you in the comics. X-Factor had some great moments, but, it's the same reason why I don't care for Havok much: the character is always under someone else's control, or thinks it's something else, etc. The potential for Polaris as Magneto's legitimaite daughter was enormous, but the comics never followed through.

It would appear that Polaris' upset streak is over. Sad, but that's what happens when you go up against The Riddler.
