"You wore THIS." I probably would have gone with Wolf-cap personally. also it could be 90's Black Widow... With horrifying body deformities! (and Avengers Fine Leather Jacket)

I have nothing to add to this, other then I still think FemThor was hella lame. I understand the diversity push, but not everybody will be as received as Miles Morales or Spider Gwen.

"You wore THIS." Man, that sex change operation sure didn't work out for Rogue.

I honestly thought the backlash was overblown given that Jane has such a history with Thor, and him being unworthy is an interesting concept. Calling her Thor was a little weird. Give her some other name and just have her have the power of Thor, and you negate most of the fedora-crowd talking points.

I've actually liked the Jane Foster as Thor story. Young Me liked Eric Masterson Thor. Didn't like Rob Liefeld Thor, though. Better than 90's Thor, but I like my Thor to have feet.

I had said several times that was the part I didn't like because Thor isn't a super hero mantle... it'd be like when Falcon became Cap if everyone started calling him Steve.

There are plenty of stories in fiction where someone takes the name of a God when they replace them.
It's not that hard if a concept to grasp. And not the first time someone else has been Thor, either.

Eric Masterson was only called Thor when he was fused with Odinson and became Thunderstrike after they were no longer fused.

And not the first time someone else has been Thor, either. I didn't mind it either. I looked at it more as a branding thing anyway. Sure you probably could come up with another name for Jane as Thor, but "Thor" is pretty much a Marvel brand to associate with the movie. And really at this point it just seems that Marvel is spit-balling for where they want to take their movies in a few years. There will come a point in time where the actors are going to bow out of their roles and it'll be a lot easier if there was at least some groundwork laid down for legacy characters. And we're going to see Totally Awesome Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and probably a woman as Thor in the movies. Probably within our lifetimes, which...give me a call when they start doing those movies.

I wouldn't mind a movie about Lady Thor as long as Natalie Portman didn't come back as Jane for it.

"You wore THIS." That Black Widow costume isn't that bad. Yeah, it doesn't make much sense for a super-spy, but it seems like pretty standard fare for a super heroine in the 1960's. It's not really that different than the "iconic" costumes of Zatanna or Black Canary.

The other Hammer Wielders were not referred to as Thor. Red Norvell and Dargo Ktor were. Also, keep in mind that when Marvel first debuted the character, Donald Blake called himself Thor after finding the hammer, having no idea he actually *was* Thor yet - that wouldn't come until later. Even in Thor form, he thought he was just an empowered Blake.
