If you can avert your gaze to the other part I said, the CAW screens are there, but if the claim is "there's ONLY 35 wrestlers due to licensing laws" is the concern. There is CAW, we know there's CAWs- but if there's ONLY 35 spots in the game, that won't be ENOUGH CAWs to really make Fire Pro awesome. If even the WWE 2K games have 100 CAW slots and Fire Pro Returns had 500, not counting other outfits, there is no reason that huge hard drives on PS4 and PCs shouldn't lead to four/five digits worth of CAW slots. Are you a lawyer or something? Why are you looking so deeply into exact wording for something that isn't there? This is Fire Pro. The base game will launch with 35 Spike created wrestlers. The Edit mode will be plentifully sourced with every face, attire, etc that creative makers will use to replicate every known wrestler in the history of pro wrestling. There will be some absurd amount of EDIT slots. If I had to guess, it will be over 1,000. Fire Pro has always been fan service first. When Spike sent out feelers for reviving the franchise they were, in a moderate sense, blown up by the community that was still supporting a PS2 game from 2005. And they went forward from that. Even more matter of fact they said, paraphrasing, that "We'll launch with 30 wrestlers and leave it up to the community to flesh everything out" So yes, this game will very much quell your fears. Unrelated question, Arn't like the majority of the feds that appeared in FPWR now defunct?

New Japan, All Japan, Big Japan, Dragon Gate, Michinoku Pro, and DDT are still around.

I like fantasy booking using WWE 2K's Universe mode (despite its flaws).
Looking forward to seeing what I can do with this game. Looks like I will have to C.A.W a lot, though. Hopefully, with the simplicity look, it won't take as long as a WWE game.

To give you an idea of how robust Fire Pro's CAW suite usually is, Fire Pro Wrestling Returns was released in Japan in 2005, and in America in 2007. There are, still currently, CAWs of contemporary wrestlers who debuted in the business well after the release of the game being made. If World is half as good as Returns, it'll be f***ing magical.

And with it being on PC the Mods will be awesome (IF it's mod friendly)
Hopefully they add downloadable CAWs, If some soul online can create WWE/WCW/ECW for DL then it saves me the trouble
And hopefully this catches on with gamers/wrestling fans and lights a fire under Yukes/2K, Being the only game in town doesn't give them an excuse to release such a shoddy game

To bury the debate further: Hoo boy, the idea of "limitless" does have my imagination in an uproar! It will be interesting to see how they can translate this on the PS4 away from Workshop.

The 2K games get away with a liberal use of logos and wrestlers in the creation suites, and if WWE would suddenly decide to step in on this, someone could point out the hypocrisy of them doing it to an even greater extent than any FP game, and they'd probably shut up. I don't know much about Steam's history on this, so if anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate it.

There's a lot of copyrighted content on the workshop for other games that hadn't been taken out yet. I doubt this will happen here

To bury the debate further: If this is the case, I not only concur, but I'm even more excited. I've been waiting for a GOOD game to use the "your hard drive dictates how many CAWs you have" for two generations of gaming- not since Legends of Wrestling did a game use that, and it was a rare good part of the game. If it's this- and with how small FPW CAWs are, this game's automatically a buy.

I don't know how familiar you are with Fire Pro, but prepare to spend a lot of time tweaking logic for every edit. I myself am not very familiar at all with Fire Pro, can you explain the whole logic tweaking thing? Basically, you can decide at what percentage your created wrestler is likely to act in a certain way in a number of situations. For example when the opponent is down on the mat, how likely are they going to taunt (say 15%), pick up the opponent (20%), do their upper body grapple (20%), do their lower body grapple (35%) or pin them (10%), often seperated by beginning, middle and near the end of a match. So for example, a proper Bret Hart would rarely ever go for his lower leg grapple (Sharpshooter) early in a match, more commonly in the middle of a match, and he'd have a high percentage for late in the match.

Yeah and you can set how often a guy will taunt or after what move would he taunt. So you can have a CPU Hulk Hogan that hits the big boot, taunts and then goes for the leg drop.

The one thing I want is more match types.
Ladder matches, TLC, Wargames, Ironman, Elimination Chambers, Hell in a Cell, four corner tag team matches, 5 vs 5 survivor series matches. Give me everything.
