Truncated title aside I assure you I mean the Irish wrestler, not the killer whale. But yeah this match nearly happened at WrestleMania 3 times! As it happened though we just got the 18 seconds match. Still, a lot of feuding between these two when both could have been spread around more. I always wondered how Del Rio/Seamus would play out

I'm guessing the third time at WM30 would have been presented as a "make good" for their other two matches being bumped to dark and being really short respectively. It would have been given decent time and Bryan probably would have won. Only issue was, Bryan was molten hot and fans weren't going to settle for that.

They had good chemistry and both were over. I remember enjoying their matches and they usually managed to keep them fresh and pull out new things.

I read this as "Daniel Bryan vs Shamu" and was wondering where I was when Bryan fought a Killer Whale

Well, the one time they got a proper PPV length time to wrestle each other, it was amazing. The 2 out of 3 falls match the month after the 18 seconds thing.

I don't think there is anyone who I both thoroughly enjoy and have no desire to watch like Sheamus. I just can't explain it. He always puts on very solid work, but he is not someone I've ever once been excited about when he was added to a match or added to a show.

Can help out but is completely incapable of delivering in important situations. Him being WWE Champion in late 2015 was a very recent example.

Sheamus always worked best with smaller guys that he could look like a beast against, but also work fast enough to keep up with them, and Bryan always worked best as the underdog who could pull out everything in the book to beat a for. So they did have great chemistry. As people have said, their 2 Out Of 3 match ain't bad. Really showed off what they could do together. I wish they could have had that match at Mania rather than the 18 seconds debacle.

I'm sure his finisher is some kind of splash. That was lame. I apologize.

Yes Sheamus is a solid worker. But to have him planned/booked to face Bryan THREE TIMES at a Wrestlemania is just absurd.
I totally get where the OP is coming from.
Sigh.
*refrains from ranting about Vince's ineptitude and idiocy*

I actually wish it happened over the IC title in 2015. Heel Sheamus vs. face Bryan could've been cool.

I think this forum talks about Vince's genitalia even more than Vince has, and that's quite a feat.

Hes a senile, out of touch old man whos a cancer to the creative direction of his company, and is on the wrong side of nearly every creative issue in the WWE...
