Doomsday. Both from Smallville and BvS. Letos Joker. The look didn't leave much hope but...still had hope. Raiden in MGS: SOL. Felt like I was playing as a bitch the whole time. Ulron in AOU. Could of been so much more. Onslaught in the comics. Topher Grace as Eddie Brock. And I was pulling for him too. Wrestling: Mordecai, Kizarny, Glacier, Brodus, Khali Yea Topher Grace as Eddie Brock had potential but they played too much into the Eric Foreman character for Topher I thought they'd go with the "Ultimate" route..which was way more of a Slimy-Older-Brother kind of deal.

Esidisi from the Battle Tendency arc of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. He was said to be superior to both Wamuu and Santana in the Pillar Men hierarchy due to his age and experience yet he makes the least amount of impact of the 4 Pillar Men. He ends up losing to Joseph in a single episode and while he was effective in his early appearences he still paled in comparison to the character arcs presented by Kars and Wamuu.

Everyone from Fate Stay Night. I would have thought it impossible to mess up a series where you had King Arthur fight Heracles. But they found a way. They found all the ways.

I still love how Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor didn't remotely try to do anything aside from "guy who drank 50 energy drinks and then was told to read lines".

I've mentioned this before, but when I was a kid, I had a Wizard magazine that casted the upcoming Spider-Man movie. This was early or mid 90s, I guess when James Cameron was attached, because it was written like the movie was definitely happening.
Anyways, they had Howie Long as Eddie Brock. Probably just because of the look and he had done Broken Arrow and Fire Storm. They casted the movie with Spidey already as an adult, because they had John Cusack as Peter Parker.

Jackie Earle Hayley as Freddie Krueger in the 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street remake was brutal. I get that they wanted to go a different direction in this film, but they just took away everything that made Freddie good. Might be the worst remake in a rich tradition of bad horror remakes.

Cumberbatch as "John Harrison" in Star Trek Into Darkness... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Khan worked as a villain before because of the subtext had had with Kirk. In Space Seed you have the Captain certainly abhorring much of what Khan represents, but still oddly admiring the man's abilities as a leader. The entire ending can even be read as Kirk giving him another chance and seeing if he can utilize his ambitions beyond conquest of other civilizations. Same with Khan viewing Kirk as inferior but intrigued by his abilities and likely having some grudging respect at the end for the Captain being able to best him.
Then in WoK we have a Singh who has grown wholly obsessed, a man stranded in hell left with nothing to think about the Captain who exiled him and did nothing when his people began to die. No doubt also going mad from the thought that Kirk has possibly even entirely forgotten about him, a brilliant conqueror who once controlled almost a third of the world. When the two finally meet again in battle, the dynamic is further explored with Khan in many ways embodying all of the admiral's doubts about himself; a superman he once defeated in his youth yet who immediately bests him when he's older and gets a hold of weapon of conquest with Kirk helpless to do anything about it.
Stuff like that is what made Cumberbatch as Khan disappointing to me, because the film essentially wants you believe Khan is the Joker to Kirk's Batman, yet there's nothing really interesting going on between them as characters. Kirk sees him as a superpowered asshole (and saved much of his ire towards Marcus) and Khan views him in turn as little more than a weak human of minor threat to him. There's a little more going on with him and Spock but even that only gets some traction before the film descends into the standard third act action scene.

Dracula in Blade Trinity is s little disappointing. Everything about Blade Trinity was disappointing. I knew that would come up. Im a mark for the entire franchise top to bottom. I like it. Is it the weakest if the three? Yeah. Is it franchise killing awful? Not even close.

Is it franchise killing awful? Not even close. I agree, it's fun, and I certainly don't hate it - in fact I probably prefer it to Blade 2, despite it being objectively inferior. The problems with it really drag it down though, including Goyer's cack-handed direction, Snipes' complete lack of giving a shit, and a distinctly unimpressive Dracula. I did enjoy Ryan Reynolds' performance, though, especially post-Deadpool when you realise he's pretty much playing the exact same character in both.

Though I kind of liked the character study of Dracula. Had it been directed better it really could have been an iconic villain. Instead his existential questions lead to a deacula themed vibrator. And is there a Reynolds performance that isn't Deadpool? Besides the first time he actually played him that is.

The Prince in Beauty and the Beast (1991 cartoon). The Beast is a character you get behind. Even though he was a dick when he caused the spell and is an abrasive arsehole for the first half of the film, you grow to love the character, feel sorry for him and want him to break the curse and beat the ever-loving piss out of Gaston. Then the spell is broken and we're treated to a wimpy, weird-looking, mulleted twat.
