I just noticed in the opening they only have Billy, Tommy, and Kim for the new morph.
You can see Jason, Trini, and Zack are already being replaced

There is billy droppin the peace conference mention.
Not sure if they were gone by this point but they would have to be hence all the weird funny dubbing suring the suit fights.

Jason took a backseat real fast Towards the end, they weren't actually there before the peace conference. They were negotiating contracts for weeks before that, and their fight scene footage was stock footage with overdubs. Trini was also benched for a while before that due to a knee injury |

Eventually they just replaced the cast with some splice footage until Aiesha, Rocky, and Adam became permanent members |
