I don't want to sound like a broken record in regards to my love for the MMPR/Zeo era rangers, but I think a lot of things that end up happening in these last two episodes (Zordon dying, the rangers revealing their identities, etc.) would have been more memorable/emotional had some of the rangers from MMPR/Zeo been the ones to do it.

This means so much more when you've just watched everything, so you know all these characters going back 6 years. But that's the reason why I'm having trouble getting into this. We haven't known these rangers for six years. |

I can see what you are saying. However, stakes are still high and if there was not a 3rd MMPR season they would not have felt "stale". This works because the team is not Tommy and the gang who has saw everything. However, as I said before Tommy killing Zordon would of been emotional |

I think it still means alot if not more because of the quality of writing that picked up immensely once the old guard was pushed out.
By the end of the first half of turbo alot of people were about done because the quality of writing was so bad and we had been with the same cast so long but this is a case of quality over quantity and I feel that turbo severley damaged Tommys crew where fans really wanted a change and the improvement of well everything really helped the new crew ALOT and that is why IMO this means just as much if not more than if this was Tommys team.

It would of been hard for people to "care" with Tommy team after damn near 100 more episodes than their peak at Zeo. Turbo hurt the squad and they were getting stale. If you would of had older cast members come in this season like they did Adam and have them appear every now and again to help the team it would of been fine. Space Rangers are fine as they are and the older rangers could of came in risking their lives with their old powers to help the team is the extent I would have gone. |
