I didn't mind Rocky.
It was that f***ing little kid who replaced Rocky who I didn't like.

Honestly, I prefer the suits in this movie over the eye sores in the current film.

I was the biggest Power Rangers fanatic you could find as a kid, but at age 9 this movie killed my fandom.
Why was there a pigman with no backstory?
Also, even when it was cutting edge technology, I found the CGI completely uninteresting and boring. I watched Power Rangers for teen drama between dudes fighting in rubber suits. Movie missed the mark of what made Power Rangers special.

Even at the time, I knew it was a terrible movie.
I do love that Ivan Ooze is also the priest in Hot Fuzz. Could have used one of his lines when the Rangers were doing their spiritual ninja crap.

Rocky. And he'd already replaced Jason a year prior on the TV series. Also, Rocky sucked. Ricky was a typo. I knew he replaced him on tv before the movie. But he was when my enjoyment of the show started dying out. f*** Rocky But no Rocky means no Adam. And I don't nt to live in that world. Adam f***ing rules.

I don't get the love for Adam. Can't recall anything he did on the show that made him so much more special than Rocky. That's just me.

I don't get the love for Adam. Can't recall anything he did on the show that made him so much more special than Rocky. That's just me. He came back. That's part of it. That and people just have a connection due to his actor becoming a major voice actor in various roles. But yeah, accidental racism aside, I preferred Zack as black ranger.

They made a mistake sidelining Zedd and Rita in favour of Ivan Ooze, who was a crap villain.

That and people just have a connection due to his actor becoming a major voice actor in various roles. But yeah, accidental racism aside, I preferred Zack as black ranger. I think he also interacted with fans on message boards. I mean, I understand that. I just can't see kids watching MMPR 2-3 and Zeo and becoming big Adam fans. He was one bland dude. The original team were just archetypes, nerd, valley girl, but you could gravitate toward that. Adam, Rocky and Aisha didn't even have that. Zack had a lot more charisma. They made a mistake sidelining Zedd and Rita in favour of Ivan Ooze, who was a crap villain. It hurt the movie. Zedd has one of, if not the coolest villain design on the show and he's comic relief basically. That said, Ivan Ooze wasn't a bad villain. The movie was shot entirely in Australia and I wonder if they didn't want to make another Zedd suit. They still had to shoot the MMPR series with Zedd and didn't want to delay shooting the episodes.

I just recently bought the DVD at a thrift store. I've not watched it since I originally watched it in theaters. The biggest memory I have of the movie is my dad laughing like a maniac when we got in the car, looking at my mom and saying, "Please explain what the hell I just watched."

To this day I find it slightly amusing that due to parents complaining about how kids after watching Power Rangers started turning into violent little shits on the playground. The original series was pulled from the telly after first season ended and banned in New Zealand.
Yet two years later this movie gets released on VHS and those outraged parents were nowhere to be found. Which is a shame because instead of banning the original series they should banned this horrible movie for being so so so very shit.

It appeared that some scenes with her as the character were shot but then the original actress came back on. There were some set photos, however. There are a couple of more photos found in this link right here.

Much like the television series it was campy beyond belief, but had one hell of a soundtrack. Also that video was made just for the movie and was the bands try to break into the U.S. The official video from '94:
