It's been cold this month but it's finally starting to warm up here. I'm just curious how many inches in your area is considered a widespread panic blizzard? Like I was reading there was panic in DC over the projections of 6-8 inches of snow and being the smug Canadian I am like that's it?

The ambiguity of the thread title is consistently entertaining my immature side.
But I think we got about 5 inches here.

to add to my earlier post... it might have been closer to 9-10 inches instead of a full on foot...
what I do know is it weighed a thousand damned pounds trying to shovel it because when it turned to rain it absorbed all the weight... shoveling was even harder than when we got liek 2 feet a month ago.

We got a few inches yesterday but it warmed up and melted it mostly away by mid-afternoon so it wasn't bad. The tree is super confused with the temps going back and forth between 60s to 20s though. It started to bud leaves when it was warm last week, and now there's snow on the ground. Poor thing.

I'm in Central Long Island, due to the shift in the storm's direction, we didn't get any snow here. We got lucky, REALLY lucky. True that. They said if it wouldn't have shifted it might have been worse then the storm in 93. I remember we were stuck in the house for damn near a week.

12 inches.
In all seriousness, we have close to 30" of snow where I'm located.

Yeah, down here in PA, we were on the cusp between whether or not we were going to get closer to 6-8 and 12-18. Once it shifted, we got around 6-8 for sure. It's weird how a 20-25mph shift in a storm is the difference between little snow and a LOT of snow.
